Who's Hiring

Construction Jobs in Boise: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a construction job in Boise?
The strongest opportunities in Boise are in residential homebuilding along the foothills and southeast growth corridors, commercial buildout downtown, and public infrastructure projects tied to city and ACHD contracts. General contractors, specialty subcontractors, and civil firms doing road and utility work hire most actively. Candidates with hands-on framing, concrete, or mechanical trades experience and a clean OSHA 10 card move to the front of the line in this market.
Which companies hire constructions in Boise?
Employers hiring constructions in Boise right now include OEG, HC, and JLL, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. The local market is a mix of regional general contractors, national builders with Treasure Valley divisions, and specialty subcontractors serving Boise's fast-growing residential and commercial pipeline.
Are there remote construction jobs in Boise?
Yes, but only for a narrow slice of roles. Hands-on field and site work is almost entirely on-site by nature. About 44% of construction openings tied to Boise are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, concentrated in estimating, project management, and preconstruction planning functions where work can be done off-site.
How can I get a construction job in Boise with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Boise is through a laborer or helper role with a residential framing or concrete subcontractor working the Southeast Boise and Meridian growth areas, where volume hiring is constant. Local union apprenticeship programs through Boise-area building trades councils also take applicants with no prior experience. Showing up with a valid driver's license, steel-toed boots, and availability for early starts puts entry-level candidates ahead of most applicants.
