Content Marketing Manager
Do you want to change how the world creates?
At Formlabs, we're building the tools that make it possible for anyone to bring their ideas to life, from cutting-edge products to life-saving medical devices. Our 3D printing technology powers innovation at more than 50,000 industry leaders worldwide, including Apple, Google, Tesla, New Balance, and NASA. Together, we're helping everyone design, prototype, and manufacture faster than ever before.
We're a team of hands-on builders, engineers, and innovators reinventing how the world makes physical things. If you're ready to shape the future of fabrication, come build it with us.
As our Content Marketing Manager, your mission is to drive our content strategy and produce industry-leading technical assets — from high-impact case studies to video stories — that appeal to our diverse audience of engineers, designers, and innovators. You will be the primary engine for Formlabs' technical storytelling. You aren't just a writer; you are a content "quarterback" who can translate complex hardware innovations into compelling narratives that drive lead generation and brand authority.
If you're passionate about technology, have a flair for the written word, a knack for the perfect tone, and a drive to tell stories, this is the perfect challenge for you!
The Job:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop written communications and creative media that grow brand awareness, increase traffic to our website, and drive lead generation and sales
- Identify and interview customers and collaborate with them to publish both written and video case studies
- Produce high-quality guides and white papers derived from in-depth research and hands-on experimentation with various applications
- Create content for sales enablement and sell sheets that support new products
- Partner with Engineering, Product, Sales, and Web teams to ensure content is technically accurate and conversion-focused
- Define and execute content marketing campaigns and strategies across verticals, funnel stages, and markets
- Deeply understand our buyer personas and target industry segments to create a content plan aligned with buyers' needs and our internal funnels
- Manage content creation and distribution across our digital channels (web, social, email, etc.)
- Maintain consistent style and tone throughout Formlabs content, editing the work of other content creators to bring it to its best
You:
- 2+ years of writing and editing experience, preferably for web or other digital media
- 2+ years of experience in online content or communications strategy, both planning and execution
- University/college education in marketing, business, engineering, journalism, communications, education, linguistics, public relations, or similar
- Prolific writing skills and attention to detail
- Quick to develop an understanding of technical topics, with an ability to translate them into effective content for technical and business audiences
- Proven ability to work independently and cross-functionally
- Analytical, proactive, and goal-driven mindset
- Structured and strong project management skills
Bonus Skills:
- Technical background, "engineer turned marketer" or experience with any of the industries we work with in 3D printing
- Experience with a modern online marketing tech stack like AI assistants, Google Analytics, Salesforce, SEO tools (Ahrefs), CRM, spreadsheets, and CMS editing
- Experience with photo and video production
- Working knowledge of SEO tactics
- Familiarity with CAD modeling and 3D printing
Our Perks:
- Robust equity program to build future wealth through RSUs
- Comprehensive healthcare coverage (Medical, Dental, Vision)
- 401K matching and access to financial advisors
- Generous paid Parental Leave (up to 16 weeks)
- Tenure-based paid Sabbatical Leave (up to 6 weeks)
- Flexible Out of Office Plan – Take time when you need it
- Ample on-site parking & pre-tax commuter benefits
- Healthy on-site lunches, snacks, beverages, & treats
- Regular sponsored professional development opportunities
- Many opt-in culture events across our diverse community
- And of course… unlimited 3D prints
