Development Officer for Corporate and Foundation Relations (Alumni/Development Manager II), Salary: $69,913 – $87,391 per year, USCA Development
The Development Officer for Corporate and Foundation Relations leads USCA’s efforts to secure philanthropic support from established and new corporate and foundation partners through strategic relationship development, proposal coordination, donor engagement, and the solicitation of major gifts aligned with university priorities and fundraising goals.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to represent the university in a highly professional and effective manner.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, including comfort with proactive outreach, donor engagement, sponsorship discussions and philanthropic solicitation strategies.
- Ability to identify partner needs, challenges and opportunities, and present solutions aligned with university priorities.
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree and 3 or more years experience. Knowledge of Blackbaud CRM database preferred. University fundraising experience strongly preferred.

Lead the execution of USC Aiken’s overall strategy for philanthropic revenue attainment from corporate and foundation partners. Identify, cultivate, manage relationships and solicit major gifts from corporate and foundation prospects and donors. Conduct outreach, coordinate meetings and support solicitation strategies that generate philanthropic support aligned with university priorities. Meet or exceed annual fundraising goals, which will be determined by the Vice Chancellor.
