- Define and govern integration patterns (APIs, events, queues, batch) and data contracts between Offering delivery portal, accelerators, Consulting delivery platform, and client ERP/subledger systems.
- Lead platform decisions on data tooling (Databricks vs. Alteryx vs. other) based on use case, scale, governance requirements, and cost-to-value.
- Design and oversee the Consulting delivery platform Agentic Layer data readiness pipeline (Phase 1: ETL, data validation, triage, and remediation).
Execution Leadership & Client Engagement
- Serve as primary data and integration liaison for client contract and compliance discussions requiring onshore proximity.
- Collaborate with offshore Data Engineers and Solution Architect to deliver against integration roadmap.
- Manage risks related to data quality, security, lineage, and have familiarity with regulatory compliance (including SOX relevance).
- Define non-functional requirements for integration solutions: performance, resiliency, security, and auditability.
Standards & Governance
- Establish data governance frameworks, data quality standards, and integration guardrails for reuse across sub-offerings.
- Specify BI consumption patterns, metrics definitions, and data lineage documentation standards.
- Ensure all integration designs meet enterprise security, compliance, and privacy expectations.
Team Development
- Mentor and guide Data Engineers and Integration Engineers across Offshore teams.
- Champion Agile delivery practices; lead sprint planning and technical review for integration workstreams.
The team
Our Finance Operate offering provides ongoing operation of the Finance function as an extension of Deloitte's Finance Transformation Advise and Implement offering portfolio. The team works across finance strategy, process, operations, and technology to help organizations enable scalable finance outcomes. Professionals in this practice support delivery in complex environments while helping clients advance modernization across Finance Operate capabilities.

Senior Level Data Integration Specialist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior level data integration specialist job?
Employers hiring at the senior level look for candidates who have owned end-to-end integration projects, not just contributed to them. Demonstrated experience designing scalable ETL or ELT pipelines, selecting integration platforms, and guiding junior engineers carries significant weight. Certifications in cloud data platforms and a portfolio of complex, production-grade integrations give candidates a clear edge at this stage.
Which companies hire senior level data integration specialists?
Companies hiring senior level data integration specialists right now include AHOLD Delhaize, Mastercard, and Apple, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level tends to come from large enterprises, healthcare systems, financial institutions, and technology firms that manage high volumes of data across multiple source systems.
Are there remote senior level data integration specialist jobs?
Yes, remote availability is strong at this level. About 50% of senior level data integration specialist openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how many organizations staff integration leadership outside of a single headquarters. Fully on-site roles do exist, typically at employers with strict data security requirements or legacy infrastructure environments.
What makes a data integration specialist role senior level?
Senior level roles are defined by ownership and scope. Where mid-level specialists execute integration builds within defined parameters, senior specialists set the integration architecture, evaluate and select tooling, establish data quality standards, and mentor other engineers. They are accountable for how data moves reliably across an organization, not just for individual pipeline delivery.
Which industries hire the most senior level data integration specialists?
Senior Level data integration specialist roles concentrate in Retail, Technology & Software, and Investment & Asset Management, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they operate complex, multi-system data environments where integration failures carry significant operational or compliance consequences, making experienced leadership a priority.
