ABOUT THE ROLE
Works under the direction of the Land Development Manager to develop and maintain the geospatial (GIS) component for Land Development. Designs, develops, and implements the Land Development database platform. Integrates current engineering database systems and provides real-time GIS data. Involves all facets of the application development life cycle, including business analysis, requirements gathering, and designing, developing, testing, implementing, and supporting existing and new applications. Manages the Fiber Installation contract. Serves as the Fiber Optics Installation supervisor for the contract team members, includes providing work direction, assignment of duties, and evaluating work performance. Provides periodic data analytics reports and dashboards to management. Manages special engineering projects. Researches current and new engineering analytics tools and standards. Provides summary reports and presents to management. Recommends changes and/or modifications of procedures to improve Land Development systems. Drives to various locations throughout the City to attend events and meetings and to conduct onsite visits related to Land Development.
