The Pricing Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing pricing strategies that support the company's business objectives, drive profitable growth, and enhance competitiveness. This role leads the preparation, review, and submission of compliant cost proposals for government and commercial customers, ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other contractual requirements. The Pricing Manager conducts pricing and cost analyses, evaluates pricing models and methodologies, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and provides strategic recommendations that optimize profitability while supporting successful contract awards and long-term business growth.
Essential Functions
- Lead major pricing efforts from RFP analysis through submission, audit, award, and transition into an executed program
- Ensure compliance with all RFP requirements, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), FAR, and other Federal Regulations
- Work with leadership across all functions to develop enterprise pricing practices and procedures. Recommend changes to policies and procedures as dynamic shifts occur
- Coordinate with stakeholders across business units when proposals require inputs from multiple sectors within the company
- Create standardized templates for Material and Labor estimation to streamline the pricing process across the enterprise
- Manage the development of pricing models/schedules for government and commercial proposals.
- Manages the development of cost, schedule, milestones, and supporting data
- Analyze RFPs to interpret pricing requirements, post-award financial and accounting implications, and identify any challenges or advantages that the RFP may present to the proposal team
- Work closely with the proposal teams to construct cost narratives to ensure compliance with all RFP requirements
- Work directly with Program/Technical team to develop detailed and compliant Basis of Estimates and work with Finance and BD to determine best pricing strategies for each proposal
- Keep up with trends in relevant sectors that affect pricing and pricing strategy
- Respond to DCAA/DCMA inquiries related to pricing and negotiations
- Facilitate proper bid-to-execution hand-off to guide program teams through proposed cost/price strategies and financial risk mitigation to optimize performance and profitability
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Regular and reliable attendance on a full time basis [or in accordance with posted schedule].

Qualifications and Competencies
- Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) with an emphasis on understanding a CASB Disclosure Statement.
- Must be advanced in the MS Excel including pivot tables and macros.
- Familiarity with basic pricing models or software such as ProPricer.
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools, spreadsheet software, and statistical techniques.
- Knowledge of pricing methodologies, pricing optimization techniques, and revenue management principles.
- Excellent communication to effectively communicate complex pricing concepts and recommendations to diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset, with the ability to think critically, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions.
Education / Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
Experience
- 7 years’ related experience with Federal Government contracting
Security Clearance
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required.

The Company provides a reasonable range of compensation. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific location. The range of starting pay for this position is for the listed location only.
Salary Range
$141,900 - $165,800 USD
