Talent Acquisition Associate Jobs in Alabama: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a talent acquisition associate in Alabama?
Alabama does not require a state-issued license to work as a talent acquisition associate, so the path centers on education and practical experience. Most employers prefer a bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field. Earning a credential such as the SHRM-CP through the Society for Human Resource Management or the PHR through HRCI strengthens candidacy. Alabama SHRM chapters in Birmingham and Huntsville offer networking and professional development that accelerate entry into local recruiting roles.
Which companies hire talent acquisition associates in Alabama?
Alabama talent acquisition associate roles are posted by Naphcare, European Wax Center, and Airbus and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of October 2026. Alabama's concentration of healthcare networks, defense contractors, and regional financial institutions means these employers tend to recruit on a rolling basis rather than only during seasonal peaks.
Which Alabama cities have the most talent acquisition associate jobs?
Birmingham, Mobile, and Hoover have the most talent acquisition associate openings in Alabama right now. Birmingham drives volume through its density of healthcare systems, corporate headquarters, and professional services firms, while Huntsville's aerospace and defense sector sustains strong demand for technical recruiters, and Montgomery's government agencies and financial institutions round out the market.
Are there remote talent acquisition associate jobs in Alabama?
Yes, and more than most fields, because recruiting work is largely phone and video-based and does not require a physical presence at most stages. About 71% of talent acquisition associate openings tied to Alabama are remote or hybrid as of October 2026, reflecting how broadly employers have accepted distributed recruiting teams. Sourcing, screening, and coordination roles are most likely to be fully remote, while onboarding-heavy or high-volume hourly roles tend to require at least some on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a talent acquisition associate in Alabama with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an HR coordinator or recruiting coordinator role at a large Alabama employer, which provides hands-on exposure to applicant tracking systems and candidate flow without requiring prior full-cycle experience. UAB Health System and Regions Financial both run structured HR development programs that accept candidates from adjacent backgrounds such as customer service, academic advising, or staffing agency work. Earning a SHRM student membership or completing an HR internship through Alabama universities such as the University of Alabama or Auburn strengthens a resume considerably before applying.
Where can I find and apply to talent acquisition associate jobs in Alabama?
You can find and apply to talent acquisition associate jobs in Alabama on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Find roles that fit your experience and location and apply directly to the employers posting them.
