- Full responsibility for quality installation of the project.
- Reviews submittals and installation/operations manuals for accuracy and compliance.
- Identifies potential change orders related to scope and schedule
- Customer relations.
- Conducts weekly safety meetings.
- Attends cost/job reviews.
- Schedules manpower and also responsible for hiring workers.
- Interprets plumbing and HVAC drawings for craft installation.
- Plans, schedules, and coordinates on-site functions.
- Reviews material take-offs, tool order requisitions, and equipment rental requisitions in a timely fashion to maximize field productivity.
- Coordinates installation between trades and coordinate sub-contractor progress.
- Ensures all on-site employees comply with OSHA standards & company work rules.
- Schedules equipment deliveries with the project management and GC and periodic inspections by governing authorities.
- Monitors labor reporting, labor production tracking, and approves timesheets and four week look ahead.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience as a superintendent on commercial construction projects in the areas of Mechanical/Plumbing/HVAC.
- Experience in the construction of large mechanical projects with contracts in excess of $10+ million.
- Well versed in the industry and the Company’s competitors.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications
- State Mechanical, HVAC, or Plumbing Contractors License
- Medical gas certification
- Large ($20M+) commercial construction experience
- Experience with prefabrication
- Experience with P6 Primavera
Travel Requirements
- 0-5% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.
Physical/Work Environment Requirements
- Prolonged periods of walking jobsites
- Climbing stairs.
- Remaining in a stationary position, often kneeling, standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds.
- Elevated and/or cold temperature environments for prolonged periods of time
