INTRODUCTION
The Assistant Athletic Director/Director of Internal Operations reports to the Director of Athletics and serves as a member of the department staff that is committed to excellence and advancing the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics through its strategic plan and vision.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the maintenance, scheduling, and renovation needs of all athletic facilities and fields.
- Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of home game operations, including staffing plans, security coordination, vendor management, and post-event debriefs.
- Assist in budgeting, capital projects, financial management, and day-to-day business affairs of the athletics department.
- Identify and keep up to date with athletics facility and gameday management trends.
- Provide direction for Internal Operations graduate assistant(s) and student-workers to effectively manage facility needs and gameday operations.
- Comply with all NCAA, Atlantic Sun Conference, United Athletic Conference and institutional rules and regulations.
- Serve as a liaison to various campus departments, including but not limited to, Housing, UCA Police Department, Facilities and Physical Plant.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Strong personal, writing, communication and emotional skills
- Experience with and knowledge of various computer-based software for managing facility calendars and project updates.
- Nights, weekends, and ability to travel are essential.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s Degree preferred, with experience in collegiate athletics or related field
