Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as an Ethics And Compliance
Frame your credentials for U.S. compliance standards
Australian three-year bachelor's degrees are accepted as equivalent to U.S. four-year degrees for E-3 purposes. Gather academic transcripts and a credential evaluation letter to confirm your degree field aligns with the compliance or legal specialization your target role requires.
Target employers with internal compliance functions
Financial services firms, healthcare systems, and multinationals with dedicated compliance departments file LCAs regularly and already understand sponsorship obligations. Focus your search on organisations where Ethics and Compliance is a standalone function, not a responsibility split across HR or legal.
Search verified E-3 sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Ethics and Compliance roles by employers with active E-3 sponsorship history. This surfaces opportunities where the hiring team already understands what sponsoring an Australian professional involves, cutting out the education stage.
Address specialty occupation early in interviews
Compliance roles sometimes face scrutiny over whether they meet the E-3 specialty occupation standard. Be prepared to explain how your position requires a specific bachelor's-level field, not just a degree in general. Roles tied to regulatory frameworks, investigations, or legal obligations hold up more clearly.
Ask HR to file the LCA before you resign
Your employer files a Labor Condition Application with DOL before your visa application can proceed. Confirm this step is scheduled and allow seven to ten business days for DOL certification. Don't give notice in Australia until the LCA is certified and your consulate appointment is booked.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for paperwork
Once you have a signed offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork end-to-end. This covers DOL filing, DS-160 preparation, and consulate appointment support, so nothing falls through between offer acceptance and your interview date.

Find Ethics And Compliance JobsEthics And Compliance E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find Ethics and Compliance jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the recommended starting point. It filters Ethics and Compliance roles by employers with confirmed E-3 sponsorship history, so you're not cold-pitching companies that have never navigated Australian visa requirements. Roles in financial services, healthcare compliance, and corporate governance sectors appear frequently given their structured compliance functions.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Do Ethics and Compliance roles qualify as specialty occupations for the E-3?
Most do, but the framing matters. A role qualifies as a specialty occupation when it normally requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as law, finance, accounting, or a compliance-adjacent discipline. Generic titles like 'Compliance Coordinator' need supporting job descriptions that tie duties to regulatory analysis, legal interpretation, or risk frameworks to pass consular scrutiny.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Ethics and Compliance professionals?
The E-3 has a significant structural advantage: no lottery. H-1B applications enter a randomised selection process each April, meaning qualified candidates can be turned away by chance alone. The E-3 has a 10,500 annual allocation that has never been exhausted, so an Australian professional with a valid job offer and qualifying degree can proceed directly to filing without waiting for a lottery result.
Can I switch Ethics and Compliance employers while on an E-3 visa?
Yes, but the new employer must file a fresh LCA with DOL and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp before re-entering the U.S. if you travel internationally. There's no portability rule like some other visa categories. If you're already inside the U.S., your new employer can start the process while you finish your notice period, but the visa is tied to the specific employer and role.
