Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Compliance Consultant
Align your credentials to U.S. specialty occupation standards
USCIS evaluates compliance roles against specialty occupation criteria, so document how your Australian degree maps to the specific position. A three-year bachelor's degree is generally accepted as equivalent to a four-year U.S. degree, but your employer's LCA must reflect the matching field.
Target employers with existing compliance functions
Focus on financial services firms, healthcare networks, and multinational corporations that already run internal compliance programs. These employers have established the HR infrastructure to file an LCA with DOL and process E-3 paperwork without treating your sponsorship as an unknown.
Search for E-3-specific roles on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters jobs by E-3 sponsorship readiness, so you're not cold-applying to employers unfamiliar with the visa. Use it to surface compliance roles where the hiring process already accounts for Australian candidates needing E-3 sponsorship.
Confirm your employer files a new LCA for each role change
If you move from a general compliance analyst to a senior compliance manager role, DOL requires a fresh LCA tied to the new position and prevailing wage level. Clarify this with your employer before accepting a promotion, not after.
Address regulatory licensing gaps before your interview
Some U.S. compliance roles, particularly in broker-dealer or banking environments, list FINRA or state licensing as preferred requirements. You can't hold most licenses before starting, so prepare a clear explanation of your Australian equivalents and your timeline to obtain U.S. credentials post-hire.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to manage your LCA and paperwork
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle the LCA submission with DOL and prepare your consulate appointment documents. Compliance roles often involve detailed job duty descriptions, and errors at the LCA stage can delay your start date.

Find Compliance Consultant JobsCompliance Consultant E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Compliance Consultant jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search, since it surfaces roles specifically open to Australian candidates requiring E-3 sponsorship. General job boards don't filter by visa readiness, so you'd otherwise spend significant time screening employers who haven't considered the E-3 before. Migrate Mate removes that friction upfront.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Compliance Consultant role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, compliance consulting generally qualifies because it typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as law, finance, accounting, or risk management. The key is that your employer's LCA and job description must document the degree requirement explicitly. Generalist compliance coordinator roles with flexible educational requirements may face additional scrutiny from USCIS.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Compliance Consultant positions?
The E-3 has no annual lottery and no numerical cap, so there's no registration gamble in April and no wait for a fiscal year start date. For compliance roles, this means your employer can file at any point in the year and you can begin work after your consulate interview is approved, rather than waiting until October 1 as H-1B holders must.
Can I change employers or move into a different compliance role on my E-3?
Yes, but each new employer must file a fresh LCA with DOL before you begin working for them. If you're moving into a materially different compliance role, even within the same employer, a new LCA is required to reflect the updated job duties and prevailing wage. You don't need to return to Australia to transfer your E-3, but your status depends on maintaining continuous, LCA-backed employment.
