Entry Level Electrical Project Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level electrical project manager job?
Employers hiring at this level look for candidates with a degree in electrical engineering or construction management, exposure to project coordination through internships or coursework, and familiarity with tools like AutoCAD or project scheduling software. Highlighting any hands-on lab work, capstone projects, or junior site experience gives you a clear edge over candidates who only list coursework.
Which companies hire entry level electrical project managers?
Companies hiring entry level electrical project managers right now include Elevate Care, UAB Medicine, and NYU Langone Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Utilities, electrical contractors, and construction firms tend to recruit most actively at this level, particularly for roles that include on-the-job mentorship and structured onboarding.
Are there remote entry level electrical project manager jobs?
Yes, though most roles at this level involve some on-site presence. About 13% of entry level electrical project manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, which is lower than many other fields given the hands-on coordination these roles require. Hybrid schedules are the most common flexible option.
Are these new grad electrical project manager jobs?
Yes, many of these listings are new grad and junior roles that explicitly welcome recent graduates with little or no professional experience. A new grad-friendly posting typically accepts zero to two years of experience, counts internships or co-ops toward eligibility, and may substitute a strong portfolio or relevant coursework for full-time tenure.
Which industries hire the most entry level electrical project managers?
Entry Level electrical project manager roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Construction & Real Estate, and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they are running large infrastructure, construction, or energy projects that need junior coordinators who can support senior PMs and grow into independent roles over time.
