In this role, you will be part of a team implementing quantum computers using neutral-atom-based quantum processors. You will work with cross-functional stakeholders to understand the electronic control requirements of neutral-atom quantum computers and use this knowledge to architect optimum control electronics that meet these requirements. For smaller projects, you will own the implementation cycle whereas for projects of larger complexity you will collaborate with colleagues within the quantum team’s electronics organization or with vendors to realize systems. You will lead the test and bring-up of developed electronics and support their use in experimental systems.
The full potential of quantum computing will be unlocked with a large-scale computer capable of complex, error-corrected computations. Google Quantum AI's mission is to build this computer and unlock solutions to classically intractable problems. - Work with cross-functional team to evaluate control system requirements and develop board-level solutions to meet these requirements, collaborating with other board and system level designers and vendors as needed.
