Summary
As an Emergency Room Registered Nurse, you will utilize the nursing process to provide direct, compassionate care to patients experiencing acute illness, injury, or medical emergencies. This role is responsible for rapidly assessing and prioritizing patient needs, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and delivering high-quality, evidence-based care while utilizing resources efficiently and adhering to established clinical standards.

Responsibilities:
- Serves as a clinical resource by overseeing patient care and delegating assignments based on patient acuity and staff competency.
- Provides direct emergency care, evaluates outcomes, and collaborates with providers to adjust care as needed.
- Coordinates care with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely, effective treatment.
- Educates patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Maintains knowledge of evidence-based practice, emergency protocols, and hospital policies.
- Demonstrates proficiency with emergency department equipment and clinical technology.
- Communicates effectively, supports teamwork, and contributes to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
- Uses strong triage, prioritization, and critical thinking skills to manage high-acuity situations.
- Participates in ongoing professional development and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited nursing program
- Minimum ADN preparation required
- Current New Mexico RN license or eligibility through a Compact State RN license.
- BLS (required for all RN roles)
- ACLS and PALS are required for the Emergency Department. If you are not currently certified, clinic will provide NRP, NALS, ACLS, and PALS training and certification support upon hire as needed
