Overview:
As a Construction Quality Assurance professional for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Naperville, IL office, you will work in the civil engineering practice.
This is a full-time position with the responsibility of working on a variety of landfill construction and CCR impoundment closure projects. The majority of your time will be spent in the field. You will gain experience by working with our technical team and contractors while interfacing with our clients. Your duties will include:
- Quality assurance inspection at landfill and impoundment construction sites performing daily inspections, testing, and sampling duties and to monitor progress and ensure conformance with engineering plans, quality assurance plans specifications and construction and safety standards
- Completion of daily testing and survey activities
- Completion of appropriate paperwork, and preparation of field daily reports and database management
The posting range for this position is between $47,692 - $87,210 based on experience and location (in addition, CEC offers overtime pay and other great benefits). Potential sign-on and relocation bonus, if applicable.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of landfill CQA project experience including both soil liner construction and geomembrane liner installation
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, specializing in Geotechnical Engineering preferred
- CCR landfill and impoundment experience preferred
- Ability to speak and write professionally
- Highly motivated, self-starter with the desire to learn quickly and succeed professionally
- Willingness to travel throughout midwest at extended periods of time
