This position is an on-site role.

Health Information Management (HIM) Supervisor
The HIM Supervisor directs the activities of the data capture, analysis, or transcription service line of Health Information Management; analyzes electronic patient records for completion; provides guidance to employees on HIM process and procedures; monitors and reports on productivity and quality metrics. Primary HIM client site representative.

Job Responsibilities:

- Oversees the daily activities of the HIM department by maintaining open communication with departmental staff; coaches and mentors staff; empowers employees to complete tasks by providing information and support. Provides communication between coding and practitioners to ensure timely completion of critical documentation.

- Specializes in the supervision of one of the Health Information Management service lines; analysis, data capture, or transcription.

- Assists HIM leaders in the development of policies and procedures for the HIM service lines; assists in the development of work flow procedures to enhance process improvements.

- Stays current and informed of industry, market and legislative regulations and change and applies the information accordingly.

- Demonstrates practices to protect the confidentiality of medical record information.
Experience We Love:

- Excellent speaking and presentation skills required, working knowledge of electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications.

- Proficiency in keyboarding skills.

- Ability to function independently, with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.

- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload.

- Prefer experience with EPIC and One Content, electronic medical record, training experience.
Preferred Education:

- Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Experience.
Required Certifications:

- RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator).

- RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician).

- CRCR (Certified Revenue Cycle Representative).
