Who's Hiring

Human Resources Jobs in Omaha: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a human resources job in Omaha?
The most direct path is targeting Omaha's dominant sectors: insurance carriers, regional banks, healthcare systems, and the large logistics and distribution companies rooted here. HR roles concentrate Downtown, in Midtown, and around Aksarben Village. Candidates who combine a generalist background with experience in benefits administration or employee relations tend to stand out in this market, where mid-sized employers value versatility over narrow specialization.
Which companies hire human resourcess in Omaha?
Companies currently hiring human resourcess in Omaha include HDR, Securitas, and Carson, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Omaha's employer base skews toward established corporate headquarters and large regional operations, meaning many HR roles sit within structured teams that offer clear growth paths.
Are there remote human resources jobs in Omaha?
Yes, though availability varies by function. Desk-based work such as recruiting coordination, HRIS management, and benefits processing is far more remote-friendly than roles requiring regular in-person contact like employee relations or onboarding facilitation. About 65% of human resources openings tied to Omaha are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with recruiting and HR operations roles making up the largest share of those flexible arrangements.
How can I get a human resources job in Omaha with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is an HR coordinator or HR assistant role at one of Omaha's large healthcare networks or insurance companies, which regularly hire entry-level candidates and provide structured onboarding. Payroll processing and recruiting coordination are common lateral moves that open the door. Completing an HRCI or SHRM coursework program before applying gives candidates a visible credential edge in a market where several employers actively look for that preparation.
