INTRODUCTION
We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented college student to join our Sales Enablement team for Summer 2026. In this role, you will work directly with the enablement team to help manage and enhance Highspot—our central content management and sales enablement platform. You will play a meaningful role in organizing our content library, improving how our sales and revenue teams find and use materials, and building resources that help sellers engage buyers more effectively.
This is a hands-on, project-based internship where your contributions will have real impact. You will gain firsthand experience with the tools, processes, and strategies that power go-to-market (GTM) execution at a modern organization.
You will work approximately 20 hours per week, starting mid-May for an internship duration of 12 weeks.
Responsibilities
- Highspot Governance – Help maintain a clean, organized, and up-to-date Highspot environment by auditing existing content, archiving outdated assets, and ensuring all materials follow established governance standards.
- Metadata & Asset Curation – Tag and categorize content in Highspot by adding accurate metadata (such as topic, audience, product, stage, and region) to make it easy for sellers to find the right asset at the right time.
- Sales Play Development – Assist in building and updating Highspot “Sales Plays”—guided collections of content and messaging designed to support specific go-to-market motions for different revenue teams (e.g., new business, expansion, partner sales).
- Platform Optimization – Identify opportunities to improve the Highspot experience for end users, including better navigation, smarter content groupings, and updated templates or layouts.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with enablement team members and revenue stakeholders to gather feedback, prioritize updates, and ensure Highspot reflects the current needs of the business.
- Ad Hoc Enablement Projects – Support additional projects and tasks as needed throughout the internship, such as content refreshes, team communications, and documentation updates.
EDUCATION, SKILLS
We’re looking for candidates who bring the following:
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program (any major welcome; Business, Communications, Marketing, or Information Systems a plus).
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams—you should feel comfortable navigating these tools daily.
- Excellent attention to detail—accuracy matters when tagging content and maintaining platform data.
- Strong data entry skills with the ability to work through repetitive tasks carefully and consistently.
- Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage your own workload in a remote environment.
- Clear written communication skills—you’ll be documenting work and collaborating with team members virtually.
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn—no prior experience with Highspot or sales enablement is required.
NICE TO HAVE
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) or content management platforms.
- Prior internship or work experience in a business, marketing, or operations environment.
- Interest in B2B sales, revenue operations, or go-to-market strategy.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This is a fully remote internship. The intern will be expected to:
- Work standard business hours (Monday–Friday) with flexibility as coordinated with their manager.
- Attend regular virtual check-ins & meetings via Zoom or Slack Huddles.
- Have access to a reliable internet connection and a personal computer capable of running web-based tools.
- Maintain professional communication standards in all written and verbal interactions.
ENABLEMENT EXPERIENCE YOU WILL GAIN!
This internship is designed to give you real-world skills that are highly valued in sales, marketing, and revenue operations careers. By the end of the program, you will have:
- Hands-on experience with Highspot, a leading enterprise sales enablement platform used by top companies worldwide.
- A working understanding of content governance—how large organizations manage, maintain, and optimize their content libraries.
- Practical exposure to go-to-market (GTM) strategy and how sales plays are used to align content with specific buyer journeys and business objectives.
- Experience working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and revenue operations teams, giving you a broad view of how modern GTM organizations operate.
- Data literacy in enablement—how to read and interpret content engagement analytics and use that data to make informed decisions.
- Strong foundational knowledge of information architecture and metadata tagging practices used in enterprise content systems.
- A portfolio-worthy project or contribution you can speak to in future interviews, demonstrating real impact within a professional enablement environment.

Align your background with Trainee eligibility
The J-1 Trainee category requires either a degree plus one year of related work experience, or five years of full-time experience in sales enablement or a closely related field. Document both clearly before approaching any host employer.
Build a training plan around measurable milestones
Designated sponsors require a structured Training or Internship Placement Plan outlining specific learning objectives, supervision details, and evaluation periods. Generic job descriptions won't satisfy this requirement, so draft role-specific competency benchmarks tied to sales enablement methodologies in advance.
Target host employers with existing J-1 compliance infrastructure
Look for companies that already coordinate with designated sponsors like Cultural Vistas or AIPT. These employers understand the DS-2019 issuance process and won't require you to educate them on host organization obligations before the offer stage.
Search for J-1-aligned roles using Migrate Mate
Filter your job search to companies that have demonstrated openness to international program participants. Migrate Mate surfaces U.S. employers with relevant hiring patterns for roles like Sales Enablement Specialist, helping you focus outreach on realistic host prospects.
Clarify the two-year home residency rule early
Some J-1 participants are subject to a two-year home-country physical presence requirement before obtaining certain U.S. visas or permanent residence. Confirm with your designated sponsor whether your specific situation triggers this requirement before accepting any offer.
Confirm host employer wage compliance before signing
Your host employer must pay you at the prevailing wage for your role and location. Use the OFLC Wage Search to verify the applicable wage level for a Sales Enablement Specialist in your target city before finalizing compensation terms with your host.

Find Sales Enablement Specialist JobsSales Enablement Specialist J-1 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Which J-1 program category fits a Sales Enablement Specialist role?
Most Sales Enablement Specialists qualify under the J-1 Trainee category, which covers business development, marketing, and management functions. If you hold a relevant degree plus at least one year of related experience, or five or more years of full-time sales enablement experience, the Trainee program is the standard fit. The Specialist category applies in narrower cases where the role requires expertise not widely available outside the U.S.
Who actually sponsors my J-1 visa, the employer or a separate organization?
The J-1 visa sponsor is a U.S. Department of State-designated organization, such as Cultural Vistas, AIPT, or CIEE, not your employer. Your employer acts as the host organization, providing the training environment. The designated sponsor issues your DS-2019, ensures program compliance, and monitors your training plan. This is fundamentally different from employer-sponsored visas like the H-1B, where the company files directly with USCIS.
Can I use Migrate Mate to find Sales Enablement Specialist roles that work with J-1 sponsorship?
Yes. Migrate Mate lets you search U.S. employers offering Sales Enablement Specialist positions and identify companies with hiring patterns that align with international program participants. Since not every employer is familiar with the J-1 host organization requirements, focusing on employers already open to this structure saves significant time in your outreach.
What does my host employer need to provide for my J-1 training plan?
Your host employer must complete a formal Training or Internship Placement Plan detailing the specific skills you'll develop, your supervision structure, the schedule of training phases, and how your progress will be evaluated. For a Sales Enablement Specialist role, this typically covers areas like sales process design, content strategy, CRM training, and cross-functional coordination. Vague or generic descriptions are grounds for program denial by the designated sponsor.
Does the two-year home residency requirement apply to Sales Enablement Specialists on J-1?
It can. The two-year home-country physical presence requirement applies if your J-1 program is government-funded, if your home country lists your field as a skill on the Exchange Visitor Skills List, or if your training is in a field of study on that list. Your designated sponsor can confirm whether your specific situation is subject to this requirement. It affects your eligibility for H-1B and permanent residence if you plan to remain in the U.S. afterward.
