Licensed Practical Nurse Jobs in Charlotte: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a licensed practical nurse job in Charlotte?
Focus your search on Charlotte's large hospital-adjacent hiring clusters: University City near Atrium Health's main campus, the Ballantyne and South Park corridors for outpatient and specialist clinics, and the growing number of skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities throughout Mecklenburg County. Candidates with experience in med-surg, wound care, or geriatrics move quickly in this market. A willingness to work nights or weekends also gives you a real edge with Charlotte's larger health systems.
Which companies hire licensed practical nurses in Charlotte?
Employers hiring licensed practical nurses in Charlotte right now include Atrium Health, Angels of Care Pediatric Home Health, and Novant Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Charlotte's market includes a mix of large regional health systems, independently operated long-term care communities, and multi-site outpatient groups with locations throughout Mecklenburg and the surrounding counties.
Are there remote licensed practical nurse jobs in Charlotte?
Remote opportunities for licensed practical nurses are rare since the role is overwhelmingly hands-on and patient-facing by nature. About 8% of licensed practical nurse openings tied to Charlotte are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions tend to be in telephonic triage, care coordination, or insurance utilization review rather than direct clinical care.
How can I get a licensed practical nurse job in Charlotte with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Charlotte is through long-term care and skilled nursing facilities, which consistently hire new LPNs and provide structured on-the-job mentorship. Look at rehabilitation centers in the Steele Creek and Huntersville areas, as well as home health agencies that hire for part-time or PRN roles while you build your hours. Completing a clinical rotation at a Charlotte-area facility and expressing interest in a post-graduation opening there is one of the most effective local strategies.
Which industries hire the most licensed practical nurses in Charlotte?
Most licensed practical nurse openings in Charlotte sit in Healthcare & Medical Services and Non-Profit & Social Services, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Charlotte's rapid population growth has driven sustained expansion across its hospital networks, senior living communities, and ambulatory care centers, keeping demand for licensed practical nurses consistently high across all three sectors.
