We are seeking a Marketing Manager, Communications who will lead the firm's communications function. This role partners closely with marketing leadership and external PR partners to execute a comprehensive communications strategy across media relations, content, digital platforms, visual media, awards, and events.
The selected candidate must be based in either Seattle or New York and is expected to work regularly from the office in one of those locations. Limited travel may be required.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of Marketing Coordinators and Specialists across communications, digital, visual media, and editorial
Oversee communications strategy execution across media relations, digital platforms, awards, and events
Manage workflow, assign work, and balance team capacity to ensure timely, high-quality delivery
Serve as a primary point of escalation for team and project-related issues
Manage communications planning calendar and align priorities across internal teams
Oversee development of press materials, media outreach, and PR partner relationships
Guide content creation across publications, presentations, website, and social media
Lead photography and video documentation efforts
Manage awards submissions and track results
Oversee execution of events, lectures, and presentations
Track communications budgets and reporting
Lead special projects such as books and exhibitions
Qualifications
Must Have:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Journalism, English, or a related field
- Experience: 8–10 years of relevant experience within the AEC industry; experience managing teams and communications programs; strong organizational, writing, and storytelling skills
- Digital Literacy: Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, Instagram, LinkedIn

In compliance with Washington State's Equal Pay & Opportunities Act (RCW 49.58.110), Olson Kundig provides transparent compensation information in all job postings. For this position based in Seattle, Washington, the annual salary is between $130,000 and $155,000. Final salary decisions are made based upon the extent and relevance of the candidate's experience, as well as internal equity and external market factors.
