Material Control Clerk Jobs in Nevada: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a material control clerk in Nevada?
Most material control clerk positions in Nevada require a high school diploma and on-the-job training, with no state-issued license required for the role itself. Employers in defense and aerospace sectors often require candidates to obtain or be eligible for a federal security clearance. Community colleges such as Truckee Meadows in Reno and the College of Southern Nevada offer supply chain and logistics certificates that strengthen an application considerably.
Which companies hire material control clerks in Nevada?
Employers hiring material control clerks in Nevada right now include Tesla, U.S. Venture, and Watts Water Technologies, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Nevada's defense contractors, resort and gaming operators, and distribution center networks are among the most consistent sources of openings for this role in the state.
Which Nevada cities have the most material control clerk jobs?
The cities with the most material control clerk openings in Nevada are Sparks, Reno, and North Las Vegas. Las Vegas dominates by volume given its concentration of resort supply chains, distribution centers, and defense contractors, while Reno and Henderson draw openings from manufacturing facilities, data center operations, and regional logistics hubs tied to the broader Northern Nevada industrial corridor.
Are there remote material control clerk jobs in Nevada?
Yes, but they're rare. Material control work is fundamentally hands-on, requiring physical presence to receive shipments, conduct cycle counts, and manage warehouse floor inventory. About 25% of material control clerk openings tied to Nevada are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those openings typically cover administrative or systems-oriented tasks such as ERP data entry, purchase order management, or inventory reporting rather than floor operations.
How can I get hired as a material control clerk in Nevada with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for a warehouse associate or receiving clerk role at a large Nevada distribution or manufacturing employer, then moving into materials control once you have inventory system exposure. Companies such as Amazon's Nevada fulfillment centers and regional defense suppliers regularly hire entry-level stock and receiving clerks. Completing a supply chain certificate through the College of Southern Nevada or Truckee Meadows Community College gives candidates a measurable credential edge over other applicants without direct experience.
Where can I find and apply to material control clerk jobs in Nevada?
You can find and apply to material control clerk jobs in Nevada on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your experience and location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
