Job Description:
We are searching for a candidate to fill a full-time medical assistant position at our busy dermatology practice.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Rooming patients
- Patient intake questions
- Administering biologic injections
- Assisting the providers in rooms with patients’ appointments/surgeries
- Preparing paper charts for upcoming appointments
- Patient phone calls with lab or pathology results
- Completing medication prior authorizations
- Coordinating specialty medications with specialty pharmacies
- Staying well versed on practice's medical terminology
- Educating patients and encouraging cosmetic product sales
- Promoting any monthly specials
-Cross-training with other staff members to fill in as needed
The person we are looking for will need to be organized, friendly, and an excellent multi-tasker. Beyond that though we want the right person to fit into our small office who has a positive attitude and an eagerness to do any job to the highest standards.
