Physician - Breast Medical Oncologist
The University of Kansas Cancer Center (KUCC) is seeking to recruit a full time academic clinical physician/investigator with demonstrated interest in breast cancer to join an expanding team in delivering the highest quality of care, as well as satisfying teaching, research, and academic responsibilities at a premier health system in the Midwest. This position will have the opportunity to work within the Division of Medical Oncology.
The Medical Oncology Division provides compassionate, state-of-the-art medical care to cancer patients; developing novel therapeutic and treatment options through clinical, translational, and molecular research; and educating and training the field’s next generation of cancer experts, with 40 faculty members dedicated to developing innovative treatments for these patients.
The University of Kansas Health System is a National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center, the only one in Kansas and 1 of only 54 in the United States, and for the 12th year, KUCC has been listed among the nation’s top 50 by U.S. News & World Report, making us the only cancer program in the region to receive this recognition.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in medical oncology or hematology/oncology and must have completed fellowship training in hematology or medical oncology. Eligibility for medical licensure in both Kansas and Missouri is required.
Successful applicants will have a demonstrated record of excellence in clinical care, originality and productivity in research, a history or strong potential for consistent extramural funding, and an interest in graduate and medical education.
