Job Description
About the Team
The Fabletics Mobile Applications team owns the native app experience across iOS and Android for one of the fastest-growing brands in fashion e-commerce. We sit at the center of the customer journey — driving conversion, engagement, and retention through a fast-moving, always-optimizing product roadmap. Each Sr. Product Manager owns a dedicated squad's roadmap while working shoulder-to-shoulder with engineering, design, analytics, and other product squads across the broader ecommerce ecosystem.
How Do You Fit In?
As a Sr. Product Manager – Mobile App , you will drive execution on Fabletics' native mobile app experience, delivering primarily against business and stakeholder priorities across your squad. You'll own the roadmap day-to-day — from discovery through execution, launch, and optimization — and be the driving voice for the customer's in-app journey. While mobile app is your primary focus, we're looking for someone flexible enough to jump into ecommerce-wide initiatives from time to time, and comfortable collaborating across squads and teams beyond your own.
Your superpower is working cross-functionally with large groups of stakeholders and other tech teams — leading discovery and supporting delivery end-to-end. A strong prioritization framework and solid soft leadership and influence skills matter more in this role than deep strategic vision. This role also requires strong data literacy and fluency with AI tools as a core part of how you work day-to-day.
What you will do:
Own the full product life cycle for the Fabletics mobile app, driving increased conversion, engagement, revenue growth, retention, and an always-optimized customer experience.
Lead complex, cross-platform product initiatives from idea through execution, rollout, and optimization — with mobile app as the primary focus and the flexibility to contribute to ecommerce-wide initiatives as needed.
Own roadmap execution for your squad, translating business and stakeholder priorities into a clear, prioritized, sequenced plan, while collaborating closely with other squads and cross-functional teams to stay aligned on shared dependencies.
Lead discovery with stakeholders and cross-functional tech teams to scope problems, evaluate trade-offs, and turn business asks into a clear plan of execution.
Write detailed requirements and PRDs, draft user flows, communicate project scope effectively, and manage products through development, QA, UAT, and launch.
Manage the app store and/or Google Play release process, including release notes and store page maintenance across all locales.
Define product KPIs and goals; monitor post-launch performance and continuously iterate based on data.
Define, launch, and analyze A/B and multivariate tests, using data to validate hypotheses and inform roadmap decisions.
Monitor key business and user metrics using ecommerce and product analytics platforms to understand app performance from a business, UX, and product perspective, and translate findings into clear recommendations.
Partner with Engineering and UX leadership to define scalable solutions, and champion user experience, accessibility, and platform consistency across devices.
Navigate ambiguity and solve high-impact problems across multiple domains and squads; negotiate with stakeholders to manage competing priorities.
Present plans and progress to senior and executive leadership; advocate for resources and influence prioritization.
Lead cross-functional rituals and planning to drive executional alignment across squads.
Use AI tools day-to-day to accelerate PRD and ticket writing, synthesize notes and research, and streamline communication and documentation across the team.
What you can bring:
5+ years of product management experience, including demonstrated ownership of high-impact, consumer-facing initiatives.
Mobile app product management experience required — you have shipped and iterated on native iOS and/or Android consumer products.
Comfortable flexing beyond mobile into broader ecommerce initiatives when priorities call for it, and collaborating across squads and teams outside your own.
Strong data-driven decision-making skills: comfortable working in ecommerce and web/product analytics platforms to analyze user behavior, run A/B and multivariate tests, and turn data into product decisions.
AI fluency required : actively uses AI tools to augment day-to-day work, including PRD creation, ticket writing, note-taking, and communication. Preference for candidates comfortable building custom AI skills or workflows across multiple tools.
Strong prioritization framework, with the soft leadership and influence skills to align large groups of stakeholders and cross-functional tech teams without formal authority.
Deep understanding of agile development, technical architecture, and UX best practices.
Proficient In
Project & Collaboration Tools: Standard SDLC and cross-team collaboration tooling (ticketing, documentation, project tracking)
Design & Research Tools: Standard design and user research tooling
Analytics & Experimentation: Ecommerce and product analytics platforms, plus A/B testing and experimentation tooling
CMS & Architecture: Headless CMS and Commerce Architecture
AI Tools: Modern generative AI assistants, with an appetite for building custom AI-driven skills and workflows

Mobile App Development Jobs in California: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a mobile app development in California?
Mobile app development in California requires no state-issued license, so the path centers on building a verifiable portfolio and earning relevant credentials. Most California employers expect a bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering, though a strong portfolio of shipped apps or contributions to open-source projects can substitute. Completing certifications from Apple or Google strengthens candidacy, and many developers build early experience through California coding bootcamps or university programs before applying.
Which companies hire mobile app developments in California?
Companies currently hiring mobile app developments in California include Tesla, Affirm, and Kikoff, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. California's concentration of major technology headquarters and entertainment studios means demand is especially consistent in the Bay Area and Los Angeles, where product-focused companies need dedicated mobile engineering teams year-round.
Which California cities have the most mobile app development jobs?
Palo Alto, Irvine, and San Francisco account for the most mobile app development openings in California. San Francisco and the broader Bay Area dominate because of their density of technology headquarters and venture-backed startups, while Los Angeles reflects strong demand from entertainment tech, fintech, and media companies, and San Diego draws from its established biotech, defense tech, and consumer software sectors.
Are there remote mobile app development jobs in California?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 40% of mobile app development openings tied to California are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the desk-based and collaborative-tool-driven nature of the work. Roles focused on frontend development, UI engineering, and cross-platform framework work tend to be the most remote-friendly, while positions requiring device lab access or close hardware integration are more often on-site.
How can I get hired as a mobile app development in California with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is building a small portfolio of personal or open-source apps and applying to associate or junior developer roles at mid-size California technology companies. Large California employers like Apple and Salesforce run structured new-grad programs that recruit directly from California university computer science programs. Lateral entry from QA engineering or web development is also common, and completing an Apple Developer certification or a Google Associate Android Developer credential gives candidates a measurable edge with California hiring managers.
Where can I find and apply to mobile app development jobs in California?
You can find and apply to mobile app development jobs in California on Migrate Mate, which lists current California openings. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience level, preferred metro, and specialization, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
