Position Summary
The IT Field Solutions & MDM Role is responsible for architecting and managing Enterprise Mobile Device Management (Intune) solutions supporting Apple iOS (iPad/iPhone) and Windows environments for the Sales Force. This role leads desktop engineering, hardware/software deployment, field onboarding, and cross-functional collaboration across IT, HR, Sales Training, and external partners. The position drives Zero Touch deployment, automation of device configurations, and continuous improvement of IT processes to reduce operational costs and enhance field productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and manage the Enterprise MDM (Intune) platform for iOS and Field Windows Laptops, including Zero Touch, VPP, DEP, and Autopilot deployments, Apple Business Manager.
- Lead day-to-day operations of the Sales Solutions, Desktop Engineering, and Mobile DENG departments.
- Drive end-to-end IT onboarding for field new hires, including hardware provisioning, training, and technical check-ins.
- Manage Apple Business Manager, DEP administration, VPP licensing, and iOS upgrade testing for 70+ applications.
HP Hardware Management
- Serve as technical lead for HP Equipment operations including onboarding, equipment sourcing, repair, replacement, and warranty management for non-DaaS equipment.
- Maintain hardware inventory, coordinate with vendors (CDW, Amazon, Gravity, Apple, Staples), and manage the master new hire equipment matrix by location, region, title, and business unit.
- Lead hardware refresh projects for laptops and iPads, business unit expansions, and new technology deployments.
Collaboration & Vendor Management
- Serve as IT liaison to external vendors and partners (CDW, HP Depot, Apple Business Team, Biogen, Syneos) for problem resolution and system maintenance.
- Lead Biogen federated configuration including Okta Org2Org federation, Veeva CRM architecture, and cross-company MDM integration.
- Coordinate with HR, Sales Training, IT Service Desk, Marketing, and field teams across multiple business units.
Training, Documentation & Support
- Provide on-site and off-site technical support for POA meetings, regional meetings, conventions (ASCO), and new hire onboarding sessions.
- Develop and maintain 100+ support documents, runbooks, KBAs, and training materials.
- Serve as L2/L3 escalation point for IT Service Desk tickets related to Sales Force IT, iPads, mobile devices, and applications.
- Support University learning platform (installation, iOS compatibility, SSO, database sync, and 4th Down coordination).
Required Skills & Qualifications
Required Technical Skills
- Microsoft Intune configuration, architecture, and MDM deployment experience.
- Apple ecosystem expertise: Apple Business Manager, DEP, VPP, Xcode, KeyChain, Terminal, and iOS management.
- Azure Active Directory, GPO, Okta SSO/MFA, and Cloud App Security.
- Windows 11 desktop deployment, SCCM, Windows Autopilot, and image creation tools (MDT, WinPE, PXE).
- Scripting languages: PowerShell, VBS, Perl, Batch Scripting.
- Microsoft O365, OneDrive, Teams, and Zoom.
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms (Cloud PC) and hardware.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in IT field support, desktop engineering, or mobile device management.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional IT projects and manage external vendor relationships.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience supporting pharmaceutical or life sciences sales force environments preferred.
- Experience with Veeva CRM, Okta federation (Org2Org), and partner IT integrations preferred.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting moderate-to-high complexity hardware and software issues.
- Ability to multitask across multiple business units, projects, and stakeholder groups simultaneously.
