For care coordination roles at North Dakota health systems, employers typically look for candidates familiar with state Medicaid programs administered through the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services. No single statewide license governs all network coordinator positions, so the most direct path is pairing a relevant degree with internship or volunteer experience at a North Dakota hospital, utility, or government agency.

Yes, and they're more common than in many coordination roles. The most realistic entry path is applying for coordinator assistant or program support roles at North Dakota's large health systems, such as Sanford Health or Essentia Health, which regularly bring on new graduates into support positions that transition into full coordination roles. Lateral moves from case management assistant, patient access representative, or administrative coordinator positions are common stepping stones.
