Operating Room Technician Jobs in Colorado Springs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a operating room technician job in Colorado Springs?
Focus your search on the hospital systems and freestanding ambulatory surgery centers concentrated in the Briargate, Powers Corridor, and north Colorado Springs areas, where surgical volume is highest. Candidates with scrub experience across general, orthopedic, or spine cases tend to move fastest in this market. Getting familiar with the instruments and workflows common in high-volume orthopedic and trauma settings gives you a clear edge with Colorado Springs employers.
Which companies hire operating room technicians in Colorado Springs?
Employers hiring operating room technicians in Colorado Springs right now include CommonSpirit Health, UCHealth, and American Traveler, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. The local market is anchored by large hospital systems alongside a growing network of specialty and outpatient surgery centers serving the region.
Are there remote operating room technician jobs in Colorado Springs?
Remote work is rare for operating room technicians because the role is hands-on and requires a sterile surgical environment. About 0% of operating room technician openings tied to Colorado Springs are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions typically involve scheduling coordination, surgical tech education, or vendor-facing roles rather than direct patient care.
How can I get a operating room technician job in Colorado Springs with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Colorado Springs is a sterile processing technician role at one of the larger hospital systems, which builds the instrument knowledge and OR familiarity employers look for before moving into a scrub tech position. Outpatient and specialty surgery centers in the north Colorado Springs and Powers Corridor area sometimes hire candidates completing or recently finishing accredited surgical technology programs and are more open to new graduates than larger trauma centers.
Which industries hire the most operating room technicians in Colorado Springs?
Colorado Springs operating room technician roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services and Non-Profit & Social Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026.
