Mid Level Operational Excellence Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level operational excellence manager job?
Position yourself around ownership, not just participation. Highlight specific process improvement projects you led, the tools you applied (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen), and the measurable outcomes you delivered. Mid level openings favor candidates who can show they drove results independently, not just supported a team. Tailor your resume to reflect scope of responsibility and quantify impact wherever possible.
Which companies hire mid level operational excellence managers?
Companies hiring mid level operational excellence managers right now include Amazon, Oscar Health, and Zoox, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. At this level, hiring is spread across large manufacturers, healthcare systems, logistics companies, and financial services firms that run continuous improvement programs at scale.
Are there remote mid level operational excellence manager jobs?
Yes, though many roles still require on-site presence for floor-level process work. About 17% of mid level operational excellence manager openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with hybrid arrangements most common in industries where some operational observation is required alongside administrative and analytical work.
How do I move up to a mid level operational excellence manager role?
The path from entry level to mid level is built on demonstrated project ownership. Early in your career, focus on completing a Lean or Six Sigma certification, then seek out assignments where you lead a kaizen event or own a process redesign from analysis through implementation. Consistent delivery of measurable results, combined with growing comfort interpreting data and influencing stakeholders, is what closes the gap.
Which industries hire the most mid level operational excellence managers?
Mid Level operational excellence manager roles concentrate in Retail, Healthcare & Medical Services, and Insurance, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026.
