Entry Level Oracle Developer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level oracle developer job?
Employers hiring at the entry level look for hands-on familiarity with Oracle Database, PL/SQL, and SQL fundamentals. A portfolio showing real projects, coursework, or internship work gives candidates a clear edge over an empty resume. Certifications like Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate signal commitment and technical baseline. Roles that list 'will train' or 'new grads welcome' are the strongest starting points for candidates with limited professional experience.
Which companies hire entry level oracle developers?
Companies hiring entry level oracle developers right now include Deloitte, Oracle, and Huron Consulting, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring comes from a broad range of employers, including large enterprises running legacy Oracle systems, government contractors, financial institutions, and consulting firms that bring on junior developers to support ongoing database projects.
Are there remote entry level oracle developer jobs?
Yes, though on-site roles remain common at the entry level. About 52% of entry level oracle developer openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting demand from employers who can onboard junior developers without requiring daily office presence. Hybrid arrangements are especially common at larger organizations that blend in-person mentorship with flexible scheduling for newer team members.
Are these new grad oracle developer jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior oracle developer roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts internships or academic projects toward requirements, or lists a portfolio as an acceptable substitute for professional history. Searching for roles that explicitly use 'new grad', 'junior', or 'entry level' in the title is the fastest way to find openings suited to candidates just starting out.
Which industries hire the most entry level oracle developers?
Entry Level oracle developer roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Investment & Asset Management, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors rely heavily on Oracle Database for enterprise resource planning, financial reporting, and large-scale data management, which creates consistent demand for junior developers who can support and extend existing Oracle environments under the guidance of senior staff.
