Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner Jobs in Virginia

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Palliative Care Physician to provide expert care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role is ideal for a physician with a strong interest in acute and chronic pain management, who is passionate about delivering holistic, family-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive pain management and palliative care consultations for pediatric patients across a range of diagnoses, in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including PICU, Hospital Medicine, NICU, PM&R, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Urology, and the Fetal Diagnostic and Treatment Center.
• Participate in the development and implementation of individualized pain treatment plans.
• Support patients and families in goals of care conversations, complex decision-making and symptom management.
• Engage in teaching opportunities with residents, fellows, and medical students.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives in pediatric pain management and palliative care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification/eligibility in Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Medicine
• Experience or strong interest in pediatric pain management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
