INTRODUCTION
We are seeking a seasoned Permanent Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of experienced professionals, providing comprehensive paralegal support to attorneys specializing in civil litigation. In this role, you will be involved in all aspects of litigation, from the initial case investigation to trial, post-trial, and appeal processes. JOB DETAILS
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Litigation Paralegal, you will be responsible for:
1. Assisting attorneys with trial preparation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and subpoenas.
2. Conducting legal research and factual investigations to support case development and strategy.
3. Managing discovery processes, including the organization and review of documents.
4. Preparing trial binders and other trial support materials.
5. Providing in-courtroom assistance to attorneys during trial, including managing exhibits and assisting with witness preparation.
6. Handling docketing and calendaring to ensure all deadlines are met.
7. Collaborating with attorneys and clients to gather and organize information for case handling.
8. Utilizing MS Office and other legal software for document production and management.
9. Maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to professional ethics rules.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Litigation Paralegal position should have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in civil litigation.
2. Proven experience with trial preparation, discovery, drafting pleadings and motions, and in-courtroom support.
3. Strong knowledge of legal research techniques and legal terminology.
4. Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with legal software.
5. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
6. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
7. An ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
8. A keen attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
9. Paralegal certification or relevant degree is preferred.
