We are a privately owned outpatient physical therapy clinic looking for a long-term position physical therapy tech to work at our far North Phoenix Clinic (I-17 & Carefree HWY) under the supervision and direction of a licensed physical therapist. Applicants must be dependable with reliable transportation, personable, able to work in a very fast-paced environment, able to work in a team setting, have strong multi-tasking skills, good communication skills and have a great interest in physical therapy. Candidates with physical therapy/athletic training experience and well versed in exercise and sport, will have priority. Candidates with undergraduate degrees, pursing DPT, PTA, OT is a plus. TST is also an approved internship site for ASU’s College of Health Solutions and employment can be used for internship hours.
We have a very strong track record and the majority of our techs/interns have moved on to pursue careers in physical therapy, pediatric physical therapy, physical therapy assistant and various medical fields.
Physical therapy Tech Job duties include, but not limited to:
Front office duties: Greeting patients, checking/logging temperatures, answering phones, verifying insurances, explaining insurances and office policies to patients, scheduling patients, faxing, filing, data entry, communicating with attorneys and case managers, communicating with billing company and collecting/processing payments.
Clinical duties: Administering various modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, cryotherapy and hot packs. Overseeing exercise programs. Following surgical protocols. Educating patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and exercise routines. Maintaining and organizing exercise equipment. Monitoring and ordering inventory supplies. Always providing a safe and effective environment for patients.
General cleaning duties: Maintaining a clean working environment, organizing waiting room/lobby, cleaning/sterilizing tables and exercise equipment regularly, laundry duties, stocking/maintaining bathrooms, taking out trash regularly, cleaning stock room/kitchen/cabinets, cleaning refrigerator/defrosting freezer.

Pay: $15.15 - $17.00 per hour
