Company: Fletcher Group / Vibrant Building Technologies
We are a vertically integrated platform operating across luxury construction, real estate development, estate management, interior design, self-storage, and hardware technology. The portfolio spans eight operating companies, including Vibrant Building Technologies, an AI-driven platform revolutionizing how we manage the health of the environments where we live, work, and play.
We're an entrepreneurial, fast-moving group, and we're looking for a high-octane Director of Marketing & PR to tell the world our story across all of it. We bring together a rare mix of hands-on construction expertise, cutting-edge tech, and design taste, all working to make real estate better.
Read this part carefully, because it's the most important: this is a build-from-scratch role for someone who sets the strategy and then, often, executes it themselves. Some weeks you're shaping brand strategy with our founder; some weeks you're editing a reel at 9pm because it needs to ship. There's no playbook and no big team waiting for you. If that sounds draining, this isn't your role. If it sounds like the opportunity you've been waiting for, keep reading.
You'll build the marketing and PR strategies for multiple brands, working across a tech start-up and a portfolio of established real estate-related businesses. The role is demanding: it calls for someone who can think strategically while acting quickly and decisively, who can execute on their own, doesn't get easily overwhelmed, and isn't afraid of a blank canvas.
What you'll own
- Brand strategy and voice for each of our companies and for our CEO/founder's personal brand and platform. Our businesses already have real strengths and stories worth telling. Your job is to distill what makes each one great and put it to work, defining how each shows up, what it stands for, and how it wins.
- The growth engine. You don't just build awareness; you drive sales. You'll develop strategies tailored to each business and the customers it serves, and own the path from first impression to closed deal.
- Omni-channel marketing, hands-on. You'll set the plan and then make it happen across every channel: social, email, print, in-person, and TV and online video. Early on, that means doing much of it yourself before you have people to hand it to.
- The content engine. You own the content calendar and the creative vision across every brand, making sure we show up consistently where our customers are, in a way that speaks to what they're looking for. You'll direct outside talent when it makes sense, and roll up your sleeves and create when it doesn't.
- Relationships and community. Everything we do is about making built spaces better, and we care deeply about the impact our work has on the community. You'll help us build and maintain strong, mutually beneficial relationships: telling our story, listening to others, and showing up for the communities we're part of.
Who you are
- A builder. You've been the first or only marketing hire somewhere, run marketing solo, or built something of your own, and you're proud of it.
- A strategist and an operator. You build the plan, then go make it real, often with your own hands.
- A relationship builder. Someone who can earn trust and strengthen our ties to the communities and stakeholders we work with.
- Commercially wired. You think in pipeline and revenue, not just impressions.
- Tasteful and sharp. You have the taste and judgment to put out messaging and creative that reflect our high standards and drive our brand strategy forward.
- A brand juggler. You can maintain each brand's distinct voice while finding opportunities for them to reinforce one another.
- A utility player. "Not my job" isn't in your vocabulary.
Logistics
- In-office at our Stamford or Ridgefield, CT location, with regular time at our sites, showroom, and out in the community. You'll need to work fluidly between both offices.
