Procurement Jobs in Phoenix: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a procurement job in Phoenix?
Focus your search on Phoenix's defense contractors along the I-10 and Loop 101 corridors, the major health systems clustered near central Phoenix, and the large construction and semiconductor manufacturing firms in Chandler and Mesa. Candidates with experience in government contracting, FAR compliance, or supply chain systems used in high-volume manufacturing stand out in this market. Networking through local supply chain and operations groups in the Greater Phoenix area also moves applications forward faster than cold applications alone.
Which companies hire procurements in Phoenix?
Companies currently hiring procurements in Phoenix include Arizona Public Service (APS), Marketech International Corporation USA, and Republic Services, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Phoenix's mix of defense primes, regional hospital networks, and large-scale infrastructure employers creates consistent year-round demand for procurement professionals at all seniority levels.
Are there remote procurement jobs in Phoenix?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the type of work: strategic sourcing, contract administration, and spend analytics roles are the most remote-friendly, while roles tied to physical receiving, supplier site visits, or warehouse operations almost always require on-site presence. About 57% of procurement openings tied to Phoenix are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with the highest share concentrated in corporate procurement functions at larger employers in Tempe and Chandler.
How can I get a procurement job in Phoenix with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point in Phoenix is a purchasing assistant or procurement coordinator role with one of the region's large hospital networks, municipal agencies, or construction firms, which regularly hire candidates with associate degrees or administrative backgrounds. Familiarity with purchase order systems, basic vendor communication, and inventory tracking gives applicants a concrete edge. The City of Phoenix and Maricopa County also post entry-level procurement positions with structured career paths that do not require prior procurement titles.
Which industries hire the most procurements in Phoenix?
Phoenix procurement roles concentrate in Construction & Real Estate, Energy, and Retail, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Phoenix's combination of major defense and aerospace operations, one of the largest hospital systems in the Southwest, and a rapidly expanding semiconductor and advanced manufacturing base makes it one of the more active procurement markets in the region.
