Role Summary

AdvancedMD is seeking an ambitious, forward-thinking AI/ML Technical Product Manager to lead the development and execution of machine learning and artificial intelligence initiatives across our product portfolio. The AI/ML TPM will serve as the primary bridge between data science, engineering, and business — defining product vision, owning the AI/ML roadmap, and delivering intelligent, user-centric solutions that transform how our teams and clients operate.

Essential Job Duties
Product Vision & Roadmap Ownership:
- Define and own the AI/ML product roadmap in alignment with company goals and technical feasibility, spanning both the customer-facing product portfolio and company-wide AI enablement across functions
- Develop and maintain a prioritization framework to drive AI solutions into the product portfolio, with focus on market urgency, size of the prize, viability, value, feasibility, and technical constraints
- Oversee all stages of the product development process, from concept through release, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder satisfaction
- Monitor user reaction to new releases and ensure business value is achieved from product capabilities
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Delivery:
- Collaborate with product managers across the portfolio, data scientists, machine learning engineers, software developers, and stakeholders to build scalable AI-driven solutions
- Translate business needs into detailed technical requirements, user stories, product specifications, and acceptance criteria
- Build and manage the product backlog, ensuring the development team has a clear understanding of product vision and priorities
- Work alongside users to understand their needs and ensure user stories are ready for development with all supporting documentation and wireframes
Performance, Governance & Continuous Improvement:
- Drive A/B testing, experimentation, and model validation strategies to evaluate performance of ML models in production
- Demonstrate the ability to measure value and impact with key metrics and outcomes associated with AI rollout to customers and AdvancedMD employees
- Track performance metrics, user adoption, and model accuracy to continuously improve AI solutions
- Ensure models are built and deployed with proper governance, fairness, transparency, and privacy compliance
- Stay current on AI/ML technologies, industry trends, ethical considerations, and emerging frameworks
- Perform other duties as needed and directed by leadership
What You'll Need to Get the Job Done:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field
- 5+ years of product management experience, with 2+ years focused on AI/ML-based products
- 3–5 years of experience as a Senior Technical Product Manager in an enterprise environment
- Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, model lifecycles, and data pipelines
- Experience working with MLOps tools, model deployment, and performance monitoring
- Technical proficiency with data stacks (e.g., Python, SQL, APIs, cloud services) and common AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, MCP)
- Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies with strong knowledge of Agile principles and process
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills

- 10+ years of experience as a product owner with a successful track record of developing products within deadlines
- Experience with generative AI (LLMs, transformers) or natural language processing (NLP)
- Familiarity with model interpretability, explainability, and responsible AI practices
- Background in software engineering or data engineering
- Experience working in regulated industries, particularly healthcare or health IT
- In-depth understanding of industry market conditions and trends with demonstrated ability to connect technical delivery to longer-term business strategy
- Creative and innovative thinker with outstanding verbal and written communication skills and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as a contributing collaborator across a complex, cross-functional product organization
