INTRODUCTION
Labcorp is seeking a Senior Director, IT Product Management, to join our team in Durham, NC.
The Senior Director, IT Product Management – Provider Solutions is a strategic and execution-focused leader responsible for defining, building, and scaling digital products that serve healthcare providers (physicians, health systems, hospitals, and care teams).
Job Responsibilities
- Leads a portfolio of provider-facing technology solutions, driving innovation across ordering, clinical workflows, interoperability, patient engagement, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborates closely with clinical, engineering, commercial, and external ecosystem stakeholders to deliver compelling, integrated provider experiences that improve outcomes, reduce friction, and enable growth.
Key areas include:
Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and own the enterprise product strategy and roadmap for provider-facing solutions.
- Identify market opportunities and unmet provider needs across clinical workflows (e.g., ordering, results, care coordination).
- Translate business priorities and customer insights into scalable product strategies aligned to organizational goals.
- Establish differentiated value propositions in a competitive healthcare technology landscape.
Product Portfolio Leadership
- Lead a portfolio of digital products, including web platforms, integrations, and workflow solutions.
- Prioritize investments across product lines based on impact, ROI, and strategic alignment.
- Ensure delivery of cohesive, end-to-end provider experiences across all touchpoints.
- Drive modernization of legacy provider systems.
Customer & Market Focus
- Build deep understanding of provider workflows, clinical decision-making, and operational challenges.
- Engage directly with physicians, administrators, and health system leaders to validate product direction.
- Monitor industry trends (e.g., interoperability mandates, value-based care, digital front door) and adapt strategy accordingly.
- Champion usability, adoption, and measurable outcomes (e.g., reduced clicks, faster turnaround times, improved compliance).
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Engineering, Architecture, UX, Clinical, Compliance, and Commercial teams to deliver high-quality products.
- Align with Sales and Client Success to support go-to-market strategies and customer adoption.
- Collaborate with external partners to optimize integrations and ecosystem alignment.
Execution Excellence
- Oversee product lifecycle from ideation through launch and continuous improvement.
- Implement agile product management practices and metrics-driven decision-making.
- Establish KPIs for product success (adoption, satisfaction, utilization, revenue contribution).
- Ensure regulatory and compliance requirements (HIPAA, interoperability standards) are incorporated into product design.
Team Leadership
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of product managers and product leaders.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer-centricity.
- Establish career pathways and development plans to grow product talent and leadership pipeline.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- BS Degree in Information Management, Computer Science or Healthcare Administration
- 8 years or more of IT product management for health systems, laboratories, or provider-facing platforms
- 5 years or more experience in provider workflows
- 8 years or more of managing IT products in relation to HL7, FHIR and API
- 8 years or more of experience defining IT product strategy that delivered measurable outcomes.
- 5 years or more of experience leading digital transformation initiatives
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MS degree in Information Management, Computer Science or Healthcare Administration
- 5 years or more experience managing a profit and loss for portfolio of IT products.
- SAFe Agile PO/PM Certification
- Certification in Advanced SQL for Data Scientist
- 8 years or more of experience with Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner), or other EHR platforms.
- 2 years or more of experience leading a team of product managers or other people leaders

- Operational rigor and disciplined execution, consistently delivering high-quality outcomes in fast-paced, matrixed environments.
- Data-driven decision making, leveraging analytics to guide strategy, measure performance, and inform continuous improvement.

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
