Job Description

Responsibilities:
Production Engineering:
- Generate project specific submittals for customer support
- Create Bills Of Materials, including parent and child part codes
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and environmental requirements
- Monitor production progress and provide necessary assistance to address any issues with the interpretation of drawings
Cost Estimation:
- Validate the existence of equipment capabilities, material availability, and necessary skill sets to manufacture the project
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for production projects, including labor, materials, and overhead costs
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to create accurate estimates
- Review and adjust estimates based on project changes and updates
Qualifications (education, experience, skills):
- B.S. Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
- 0-3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Familiarity with basic engineering principles and strong mathematical ability; solid understanding of geometry and trigonometry is required
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite is required. Working knowledge in computer aided design/drawing software such as SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD is required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented and analytical
- Quick learner and self-motivated; possess ability to promptly accomplish tasks with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with AWWA specifications, ASTM standards and/or ASME boiler & pressure vessel code as relevant to the piping and coupling industry would be beneficial
- Should possess a general knowledge of steel fabrication techniques and properties of materials
- Familiarity with database management would be beneficial
