Summary
The Technical Learning Specialist II facilitates training courses, executes course logistics, and develops learning assets. This person provides technical guidance relative to the coordination, administration, analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of training activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitates training aligned to business strategy.
- Schedules course offerings, communicates with learner/management regarding course attendance, conduct analysis & determine current course offerings are meeting need, schedule additional offerings as needed.
- Leads the design and development of learning assets for use with training courses.
- Evaluates existing training programs for effectiveness, implements improvements, and assesses effectiveness of improvements.
- Utilizes surveys and other data gathering techniques to analyze performance against customer expectations and to identify future requirements.
- Work with subject matter experts to develop effective, efficient solutions to meet learning requirements
You Must Have
- 3+ years’ experience in training and/or development methodologies and/or related proven experience as an instructor or course developer.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, education, business, social science, or a technical field with an emphasis on training and development, or two additional years of direct work experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
- United States Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations).
