Job Summary
About the Job
Responsible for the design, construction, and ongoing management of investment portfolios aligned with established investment objectives, policies, and fiduciary standards. The role emphasizes portfolio oversight, risk discipline, investment strategy implementation, and reporting rather than direct client advisory activities. Works closely with internal relationship managers, investment partners, and oversight teams to support portfolio solutions, reporting needs, and alignment with Wealth Segment strategies. This position is expected to offer the complete breadth and depth of the Wealth Segment suite of capabilities and may supervise Portfolio Advisor Associates and/or mentor junior portfolio managers. Success in this role is driven by strong investment judgment, disciplined portfolio oversight, accurate reporting, and collaboration across internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and support reporting for client portfolios and internal strategies, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with investment policy requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver timely and consistent portfolio reporting, analytics, and performance materials.
- Demonstrate strong project management skills across portfolio initiatives, reporting processes, reviews, and process enhancements.
- Construct, review, monitor, and adjust investment portfolios in accordance with approved investment objectives, policies, and investment guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with all internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including Reg 9 reviews and related compliance and reporting functions.
- Manage portfolios within a fiduciary framework, with an emphasis on risk management and adherence to portfolio guidelines.
- Utilize portfolio management, reporting, and book management tools to support accurate oversight, analysis, and documentation.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support to less experienced peers; serve as a subject matter resource within the team.
- Lead or contribute to internal team discussions related to portfolio management, reporting, governance, or process improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned; responsibilities may evolve based on business needs.
- Comply with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key and its clients.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (required)
- Master's Degree (preferred)
Experience Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of related experience (required)
- A strong candidate with less experience can be considered for a junior Portfolio Analyst role.
Licenses and Certifications
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or other Professional designations (preferred)

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $57,000.00 - $87,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
