Quality Assurance Caregiver / CNA
Comfort Keepers - Scarborough, Maine
Full-Time | $25-$27/hr | Benefits + Mileage Reimbursement + PTO
Comfort Keepers is an award-winning leader in in-home senior care, dedicated to helping seniors and adults live safely and independently at home. Our Scarborough, Maine office is growing rapidly, and we are seeking a compassionate, experienced Quality Assurance Caregiver/CNA to join our team.
This unique role combines hands-on caregiving with caregiver mentorship, training, and quality assurance responsibilities. If you are a dependable CNA or experienced caregiver who enjoys supporting both clients and fellow caregivers, we would love to hear from you.

Position Overview
This role is approximately:
- 50-75% direct caregiving/backup shift coverage
- 25-50% caregiver training, mentoring, and quality assurance
You will support clients in their homes while also helping onboard and mentor new caregivers to ensure excellent care standards.
Caregiver/CNA Responsibilities
(50-75% of role)
Provide high-quality in-home care services including:
- Personal care assistance
- Bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene support
- Companionship and emotional support
- Meal preparation
- Medication reminders
- Mobility and transfer assistance
- Activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Light housekeeping
Shift coverage hours may vary between mornings and early evenings.
Quality Assurance Mentorship Responsibilities
(25-50% of role)
- Train and onboard new caregivers
- Accompany new caregivers on first client shifts
- Conduct caregiver quality assurance visits
- Reassess client care needs
- Provide caregiver coaching and mentorship
- Communicate effectively with clients, caregivers, office staff, and leadership
- Travel locally throughout York and Cumberland counties
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow company procedures
This position reports directly to the Director of Operations.
Qualifications
Required:
- CNA certification (lapsed CNA will be considered with relevant years of experience)
- Minimum 2 years of caregiving or home care experience
- Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, or training experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Auto insurance
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented
Preferred:
- 3+ years of home health or personal care experience
- Microsoft Office experience
Important: Resume should clearly demonstrate leadership, mentoring, or training experience.
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday-Friday
- Occasional weekend shifts required
- Day and early evening availability needed
- On-call flexibility preferred
