QA Specialist Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a qa specialist in Florida?
Most qa specialist roles in Florida require a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, life sciences, or a closely related field. Florida has no single state-issued license for the role, but industry credentials carry real weight with employers: ASQ certifications such as the Certified Quality Auditor or Certified Quality Engineer are widely recognized across Florida's aerospace, medical device, and manufacturing sectors. Candidates who build hands-on experience through internships or co-ops with Florida-based manufacturers or tech companies advance most quickly.
Which companies hire qa specialists in Florida?
Employers hiring qa specialists in Florida right now include Publix, Hilton Grand Vacations, and Parsons, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Florida's concentration of aerospace contractors, medical device manufacturers, and health system technology divisions means steady year-round openings across both regulated and commercial industries.
Which Florida cities have the most qa specialist jobs?
Tampa, Jacksonville, and Miami account for the largest share of qa specialist openings in Florida. Orlando anchors the state's aerospace and simulation technology corridor, Tampa draws from healthcare IT and defense contractors along the I-4 corridor, and Miami reflects demand from pharmaceutical, logistics, and consumer technology firms concentrated in South Florida.
Are there remote qa specialist jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 26% of qa specialist openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how much of the role involves software testing, documentation review, and process auditing that can be performed off-site. Roles tied to physical production lines, laboratory inspection, or FDA facility audits are more likely to require an on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a qa specialist in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing a quality technician or QA analyst associate role at a Florida manufacturer or healthcare technology company, then building toward specialist responsibilities on the job. Large Florida employers in aerospace and medical devices, including contractors in the Orlando and Tampa corridors, regularly bring on junior QA staff who move from adjacent roles in production, lab support, or technical documentation. Completing an ASQ certification exam or building a testing portfolio through open-source projects strengthens a resume before the first interview.
Where can I find and apply to qa specialist jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to qa specialist jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings updated regularly. Search the listings by location or specialty to see roles that match your background, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
