Job Overview
Phygital Grp
AI Professional – Agents, Automation & Growth Systems
Full-Time · Remote
About the Role
Phygital Grp is hiring a hands-on AI professional to design, build, and ship the AI systems that power our business — from autonomous agents and internal software to CRM automations and marketing/sales tooling. This is a builder role: you'll move from idea to working product, owning projects end to end rather than handing off to someone else.
What You'll Do
- Design and build AI agents that automate real workflows across sales, marketing, and operations
- Develop custom software and internal tools that integrate AI into day-to-day business processes
- Build and maintain CRM automations — lead routing, scoring, follow-ups, and pipeline reporting
- Create AI-powered sales and marketing tools (outreach automation, content generation, lead qualification, personalization at scale)
- Integrate AI models and APIs (LLMs, embeddings, voice, etc.) into existing platforms and workflows
- Prototype quickly, test with real users, and iterate based on what actually moves the needle
- Evaluate and stand up new AI tools, frameworks, and platforms as the space evolves
- Document systems and train team members on new AI-driven workflows
What You Bring
- Proven experience building AI agents or LLM-powered applications (production, not just prototypes)
- Strong software development skills — comfortable owning a build from architecture to deployment
- Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, GoHighLevel, or similar) and building automations within them
- Working knowledge of sales and marketing workflows and how AI can improve conversion, speed, and personalization
- Hands-on experience with AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.), automation platforms (n8n, Zapier, Make), and modern dev tooling
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and ship in a fast-moving, remote environment
- Strong communication skills — able to explain technical systems to non-technical stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Experience with voice AI / conversational agents
- Background in growth, demand gen, or revenue operations
- Familiarity with vector databases, RAG pipelines, and agent orchestration frameworks
- Prior experience in an early-stage or fast-scaling company
What Phygital Grp Offers
- Full-time, fully remote role with flexible hours
- High ownership — you'll shape how AI is used across the company, not just execute tickets
- Direct access to leadership and fast decision-making
- Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience
Pay: $80,000.00 per year
Work Location: Remote

Tips for Your Remote AI Research Scientist Job Search
Apply early to remote roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists remote ai research scientist openings from across the U.S. in one place, so you can find roles that match your background and apply directly without sorting through mixed results.
Build a public record of your research
Remote hiring managers can't walk to your desk and see your work. Publish reproducible experiments on GitHub, post paper summaries on a personal site, or contribute to open-source model evaluations so your output is visible before any interview.
Document your async communication in applications
Remote ai research scientist teams rely on written clarity to coordinate without meetings. In cover letters and work samples, show how you document model experiments, write up findings, and communicate blockers in writing, not just how you code.
Target remote-first labs and distributed AI teams
Companies built remote from the start have established research workflows, documentation norms, and async collaboration practices. Prioritize AI-native companies and distributed product teams over hybrid-remote postings, where remote researchers often get less access to resources and mentorship.
Remote AI Research Scientist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote ai research scientist job?
Remote ai research scientist roles go to candidates who can show they produce rigorous research independently, without daily oversight. Remote employers screen heavily for async communication skills, meaning clear written documentation of methods and findings, comfort with tools like Slack and Notion, and the ability to drive a research agenda without hand-holding. A public portfolio of published papers, GitHub repositories with reproducible experiments, or contributions to open-source model projects gives you a concrete edge over candidates with credentials alone.
Which companies hire remote ai research scientists?
Remote ai research scientist roles are posted by CVS Health, Enlyte, and BV Teck and others right now, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These include remote-first AI labs, distributed product companies building ML-powered software, and healthcare and defense firms with research teams across multiple locations.
Can you get a remote ai research scientist job with no experience?
Yes, but remote entry-level ai research scientist roles are harder to land because employers expect you to operate independently from day one without in-person mentorship. Your strongest path is through remote research internships, contributed work on open-source AI projects, or reproducible personal research published publicly. Companies with large distributed ML teams and AI-native startups are most likely to hire early-career candidates who can show genuine output rather than just coursework.
Do you need a degree for remote ai research scientist jobs?
Usually, but the weight shifts toward demonstrated research output for remote roles. Most remote ai research scientist postings list a graduate degree in machine learning, computer science, or statistics as a baseline expectation. That said, remote employers are evaluating your ability to produce independently, so a strong portfolio of published work, reproducible experiments, or open-source contributions can offset a non-traditional educational background in some cases.
Which industries hire the most remote ai research scientists?
The sectors hiring the most remote ai research scientists are Education, Insurance, and Automotive, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These industries run distributed research teams that can collaborate effectively across time zones, making remote ai research scientist roles a practical and common arrangement for them.
