Through a combination of strategy, expertise and creativity, we help clients accelerate operational, digital and cultural transformation, enabling the change they need to own their future.
Join our team as the expert you are now and create your future.
We are looking for a technically strong and adaptable AI Solution Architect to join our growing AI practice. In this role, you will contribute to the design and implementation of AI-powered solutions across a range of client-facing projects, helping ensure that architectural decisions are sound, scalable, and tailored to the problem at hand.
You will work closely with engineering teams and client stakeholders to design AI systems that leverage traditional machine learning, generative AI, and intelligent automation. This role requires both a solid technical foundation and the ability to flex across different platforms, frameworks, and business needs.
If you enjoy applying architecture principles to complex AI problems, working across multiple technologies, and collaborating with delivery teams to bring ideas into reality, this is a strong fit.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the architecture and design of AI solutions across multiple projects, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with client goals
- Contribute to the development of shared architectural patterns, reusable components, and design practices to support both experimental and production-ready AI initiatives
- Evaluate client needs, system constraints, and platform environments to recommend scalable and secure AI designs across cloud, on-prem, or hybrid setups
- Drive architectural decisions related to data pipelines, model orchestration, API development, observability, and integration with enterprise systems
- Apply knowledge of traditional machine learning and generative AI technologies (e.g., LLMs, embeddings, RAG, AI agents) to support diverse solution needs
- Understand and work with orchestration layers and protocols (e.g., tool use, function calling, and emerging standards like MCP) that support multi-step reasoning and agentic workflows
- Serve as a technical resource to project teams by reviewing technical designs, contributing to code and system architecture, and mentoring junior engineers
- Collaborate with delivery leads, and client stakeholders to refine solution designs as project requirements evolve
- Participate in technology evaluation and internal discussions to help shape best practices and strengthen architectural consistency across teams
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering or AI/ML development, including 2+ years in solution design or architecture roles
- Experience designing AI-powered solutions using machine learning, data pipelines, or generative AI APIs
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture principles and working within production-oriented environments
- Hands-on experience with Python, AI/ML frameworks, and API development
- Exposure to GenAI frameworks and agent orchestration tools
- Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and containerized environments
- Comfort working in agile, project-based environments and collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate between technical requirements and business goals
- Certifications in Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Amazon Web Services are highly desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Flexible living locations across US, ability to travel as needed.
COMPENSATION
- Estimated base salary: $155,000 - $175,000 USD
- Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $178,250 - $218,750 USD.
- The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs.
The estimated base salary for this job is a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. Tips for Your Remote AI Solution Architect Job Search
Document your AI architecture decisions publicly
Remote employers can't observe your thinking in person, so write up the reasoning behind past AI system designs on GitHub, a personal site, or a shared doc. Architecture decision records and system diagrams do more for a remote application than a resume bullet alone.
Apply early to remote roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists remote ai solution architect openings from across the U.S. in one place, so you can find roles that match your stack and apply directly without sorting through mixed location results.
Sharpen your async written communication
Remote ai solution architect interviews often include a written technical assessment or asynchronous design review before any live call. Practice explaining complex AI system trade-offs clearly in writing, since distributed teams depend on async clarity more than verbal persuasion.
Target distributed teams in cloud-heavy sectors
Remote ai solution architect demand concentrates at companies already running distributed engineering on AWS, Azure, or GCP. Search for roles that name specific cloud platforms in the posting, since those teams are built to onboard and support remote architects from the start.
Prepare for remote-first technical interviews
Remote ai solution architect interviews typically use shared whiteboards, live coding environments, or async design challenges instead of in-room whiteboard sessions. Practice walking through AI system architectures on tools like Miro or Lucidchart while narrating your trade-off reasoning out loud.
Remote AI Solution Architect Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote ai solution architect job?
Target companies that already run distributed engineering teams, since they have the tooling and culture for remote ai solution architects to operate effectively from day one. Remote hiring managers screen heavily for async written communication, self-directed project management, and hands-on fluency with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Demonstrating real deployed AI solutions, clear architecture documentation, and experience working across time zones gives you a concrete edge over candidates without remote work history.
Which companies hire remote ai solution architects?
Remote ai solution architect roles are posted by Netflix, Airbnb, and Block and others right now, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Remote-first software companies, distributed cloud consultancies, and enterprise technology teams across fintech, healthtech, and defense sectors are among the most active employers for this role.
Can you get a remote ai solution architect job with no experience?
Yes, but remote entry-level roles are harder to land because employers expect you to work independently without on-site guidance from day one. Cloud-native startups and smaller distributed teams are more open to early-career candidates. A portfolio of deployed AI projects, open-source contributions, and documented architecture decisions signals readiness when a resume shows limited professional experience.
Do you need a degree for remote ai solution architect jobs?
Not always. Many remote employers prioritize demonstrated technical ability over formal credentials, especially for senior-level ai solution architect roles where a portfolio of real solutions carries more weight. Cloud certifications from AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, combined with verifiable project outcomes and strong written communication skills, can substitute for or reinforce a traditional degree in remote hiring decisions.
Which industries hire the most remote ai solution architects?
The sectors hiring the most remote ai solution architects are Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Media & Entertainment, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These industries rely on distributed engineering and data teams that need ai solution architects who can collaborate across locations and time zones without requiring on-site presence.
