How do I get a research job in Tulsa?
The strongest path into Tulsa's research market runs through its healthcare and energy sectors, where Saint Francis Health System, OSU Medical Center, and the University of Tulsa drive consistent demand. Focus on roles at hospital research departments, university labs, and the city's growing biomedical and energy technology organizations. Candidates with data analysis skills, familiarity with IRB protocols, or experience in oil and gas laboratory work have a clear edge in Tulsa's local market.
Which companies hire researchs in Tulsa?

Tulsa's hiring base is broad, ranging from large healthcare systems and university research programs to energy sector firms and independent clinical research organizations based in and around the city.
Are there remote research jobs in Tulsa?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the type of research work, with desk-based and analytical roles being far more remote-friendly than laboratory or clinical positions. About 0% of research openings tied to Tulsa are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting demand for policy, market, and data research functions. Literature review, data synthesis, and grant writing roles are the positions most commonly offered remotely in Tulsa.
How can I get a research job in Tulsa with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point in Tulsa is a research assistant or junior analyst role at one of the city's university programs or hospital systems, where hiring managers expect to train candidates. The University of Tulsa and Oral Roberts University both post entry-level lab and research support openings, and Tulsa's clinical trial organizations regularly bring on coordinators with only a bachelor's degree. Volunteering or interning within a Tulsa hospital research department before applying full-time significantly strengthens a first application.

Tulsa's position as a regional healthcare hub and a longstanding center for energy production keeps demand steady in both fields, while the presence of several universities sustains ongoing academic and applied research hiring.
