Christie's Toy Box is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with product selection, and driving sales through effective communication and upselling techniques. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail and a strong ability to engage with customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance throughout their shopping experience.
• Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, enhancing customer knowledge and interest.
• Utilize effective customer service skills to address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain an organized and well-stocked sales floor by managing inventory levels and restocking as needed.
• Perform basic math calculations for transactions at the point of sale (POS) system accurately.
• Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer needs are met.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations within the store.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the retail space to create an inviting atmosphere for customers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers
• Basic math skills necessary for handling transactions and retail math calculations.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.
• A passion for selling our products and helping customers find what they need is essential.
• Must be comfortable with our industry and the types of products we sell. Product training will be provided.
• Must be able to work some night and weekend shifts.
• Must be able to pass a background check prior to employment
• Must be 18 years or older to apply
