Entry Level Robotics Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level robotics job?
Employers hiring at the entry level look for hands-on proof of skill over years of experience. A GitHub repository with personal or capstone projects, experience with ROS, Python, or CAD tools, and any internship or lab work all strengthen your application. Targeting job postings that explicitly list zero to two years of experience or welcome new graduates gives you the clearest path in.
Which companies hire entry level roboticss?
Companies hiring entry level roboticss right now include Amazon, C&W Services, and Cushman & Wakefield, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. At this level, hiring covers established manufacturers, automation startups, defense contractors, and research-driven technology firms, many of which build dedicated new graduate pipelines tied to university partnerships or co-op programs.
Are there remote entry level robotics jobs?
Yes, though most entry level robotics roles require at least some on-site presence given the hands-on nature of the work. About 9% of entry level robotics openings are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, concentrated in software, simulation, and controls-focused positions where physical access to hardware is less critical on a daily basis.
Are these new grad robotics jobs?
Yes, the listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior roles alongside other entry level positions. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts internships or co-op terms toward that threshold, or accepts a strong project portfolio in place of full-time work history. Look for phrases like 'recent graduates encouraged to apply' or 'no prior industry experience required.'
Which industries hire the most entry level roboticss?
Entry Level robotics roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Retail, and E-Commerce & Online Marketplaces, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These sectors drive new-grad hiring because they are actively scaling automation, investing in R&D, and need junior engineers and technicians to support growing production and development teams.
