MISSION
Conserving Birds of Prey Worldwide
WORK WITH US
For over 50 years, The Peregrine Fund has worked to conserve birds of prey. Addressing threats such as pollution, deforestation, and human-wildlife conflict is key to supporting the world’s 561 species of raptors and the ecosystem upon which we all rely. As top predators, raptors serve as indicators of ecosystem health while providing essential services like rodent control and disease prevention through carrion removal. The Peregrine Fund relies on science to assess extinction risk and causes of decline to allocate resources effectively while engaging local communities in comprehensive, collaborative conservation solutions, unique and innovative to each region. Key achievements include removing the Peregrine Falcon from the U.S. Endangered Species List, helping restore the Mauritius Kestrel population from just four wild birds, and identifying and addressing the drivers of the Asian Vulture Crisis. Current projects span dozens of countries, including community-based conservation in Madagascar, doubling the known Ridgway's Hawk population on Hispaniola, and managing California Condor recovery efforts in the American West.
Our employee benefits program plays a vital role in demonstrating our commitment to our employees. We are pleased to offer eligible employees a benefits program that is comprehensive and among the best among our peer institutions, including a 403(b) retirement program as well as health, dental, vision, life, and long-term disability insurance.
The Peregrine Fund is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We ensure all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.

Security Operations Analyst Jobs in Idaho: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a security operations analyst in Idaho?
Most Idaho employers expect a bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information systems, or computer science, combined with an industry certification such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or a GIAC credential. Idaho has no state-issued license specific to this role, so the hiring path runs through certifications and experience. Entry-level candidates often start in IT support or network administration roles at Idaho employers before moving into a security operations center position.
Which companies hire security operations analysts in Idaho?
Companies currently hiring security operations analysts in Idaho include Paylocity, Micron Technology, and American Credit Acceptance, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Idaho's defense research, semiconductor, and financial technology sectors generate some of the most consistent demand for this role in the state.
Which Idaho cities have the most security operations analyst jobs?
Boise, Meridian, and Idaho hold the most security operations analyst openings in Idaho. Boise drives the largest share given its concentration of financial technology firms, healthcare networks, and regional corporate headquarters, while Idaho Falls benefits from proximity to Idaho National Laboratory and its network of federal contractors, pulling in security operations demand even at smaller population size.
Are there remote security operations analyst jobs in Idaho?
Yes, and more than most fields. Security operations analysis is largely a desk-based, screen-intensive role, making it well suited to remote work. About 20% of security operations analyst openings tied to Idaho are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly employers have accepted distributed SOC teams. Alert monitoring, log analysis, and threat hunting are the functions most commonly performed fully remote.
How can I get hired as a security operations analyst in Idaho with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from an IT helpdesk or systems administrator role, both of which are common at Boise-area employers in healthcare, finance, and government contracting. Idaho National Laboratory and larger Boise healthcare systems such as St. Luke's Health System and Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center hire for IT operations and support roles that sit adjacent to security operations. Earning CompTIA Security+ before applying signals readiness even without direct SOC experience. A home lab, documented incident simulations, or a cybersecurity portfolio on GitHub gives candidates a concrete edge.
Where can I find and apply to security operations analyst jobs in Idaho?
You can find and apply to security operations analyst jobs in Idaho on Migrate Mate, which lists current Idaho openings. Search the available roles, find the ones that match your experience and preferences, and apply directly through each listing.
