There is no state-issued license specific to business operations managers in Idaho, so candidates advance by building experience in roles like operations coordinator, project manager, or department supervisor within Idaho's leading sectors. Earning a Project Management Professional credential or a Lean Six Sigma certification strengthens a candidacy significantly with Idaho employers in manufacturing, healthcare, and technology.
How much do business operations managers make in Idaho?
Business operations managers in Idaho earn a median of about $80,390 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $41,920 for the lowest 10% to over $170,990 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire business operations managers in Idaho?
Idaho business operations manager roles are posted by Micron Technology, Ericsson, and Lightcast and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Idaho's mix of food manufacturing, semiconductor production, healthcare networks, and utilities creates consistent demand for operations managers across both Boise's growing tech corridor and the state's industrial and agricultural employers.
Which Idaho cities have the most business operations manager jobs?
Boise, Moscow, and Coeur d'Alene have the most business operations manager openings in Idaho. Boise dominates because it is home to the state's largest concentration of corporate headquarters, regional offices, and healthcare systems, while Nampa's manufacturing base and Idaho Falls' energy and healthcare sectors generate consistent openings that pull the hiring map beyond the Treasure Valley.
Are there remote business operations manager jobs in Idaho?
Yes, and more than some fields, since much of the role involves coordination, reporting, and strategic planning that can be done remotely. About 0% of business operations manager openings tied to Idaho are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting a mix of fully distributed roles and hybrid arrangements tied to Boise-area offices. How can I get hired as a business operations manager in Idaho with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is to secure an operations coordinator or administrative analyst role at a large Idaho employer and build from there. St. Luke's Health System, Micron Technology, and Idaho Power all hire into associate operations and analyst positions that serve as pipelines to management roles. Lateral moves from project coordinator, supply chain analyst, or office manager roles are common stepping stones, and completing a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or a PMP preparation course gives candidates a measurable edge in Idaho hiring processes.
