We are seeking a passionate, driven individual to join our Business Operations team within the Office of the CEO. The ideal candidate is strongly interested in technology, innovation, and the Employee Experience ecosystem. You have a proven ability to lead projects from ideation to execution with measurable impact. You excel at managing multiple competing priorities, knowing when to focus on details and when to take a step back to see the bigger picture. Impact drives you, and you're always thinking about how to move things forward. You will lead BetterUp’s top strategic projects, including annual planning, acquisition integrations, due diligence, and more. These high-impact, cross-functional initiatives will require a deep understanding of BetterUp’s value chain. Handling sensitive projects, you’ll work closely with the CEO, Chief of Staff, and Executive Leadership Team to deliver strategic insights and measurable results.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the top Office of the CEO strategic projects. Historical projects include
- Oversee due diligence for partnerships with luminaries such as Brené Brown, Adam Grant, Pau Gasol, and Shaun White.
- Develop BetterUp’s European market entry strategy.
- Create BetterUp’s 5-year growth plan for the Board of Directors.
- Collaborate with Co-Founders on fundraising decks.
- Revamp pricing and packaging in partnership with a third-party consulting firm.
- Establish and manage the CHRO Growth Advisory Council.
- Lead the Davos activation, fostering connections between BetterUp’s CEO and Fortune 100 CXOs.
- Negotiate and launch cross-selling partnership with Walmart.com
- Develop a strategy to expand the engineering team internationally.
- Co-lead acquisition due diligence on U.S. and European acquisition targets
- Lead post-merger integrations.
- Drive annual planning and manage the company OKR process.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
If you have some or all of the following, please apply:
- 5-8 years of experience at Bain & Company, McKinsey, or BCG, with demonstrated success leading complex, high-stakes projects. Additional experience in a lean, high-growth scale-up is a plus.
- Strategic and Analytical Excellence: You combine creative problem-solving with a structured, analytical approach to business challenges and are adept at developing actionable insights that shape strategy at the highest levels.
- Cross-functional leadership: Proven ability to work across all organizational levels, particularly with senior executives, to drive alignment, influence decision-making, and deliver measurable results.
- Execution Mastery: You have a knack for juggling multiple high-priority initiatives while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and organization.
- Agility and Resilience: Thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where priorities can shift rapidly, and you remain steadfast in driving impact.

At BetterUp, we compensate our employees fairly for their work. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, residence location, as well as market indicators. The range below is representative of base salary only and does not include equity, sales bonus plans (when applicable) and benefits. This range may be modified in the future. The base salary range for this role is $194,000 – $270,000. If you live in New York, the base salary range for this role is:
- 216,000 - 270,000: New York City
- 194,000 - 243,000: Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, Nassau, Newburgh, Syracuse
