As a Senior Director of Product in Architecture & Engineering team, you lead innovation through the development of products and features that delight customers. As a leader on the team, you leverage your advanced capabilities to challenge traditional approaches, remove barriers to success, and foster a culture of continuous innovation that helps inspire cross-functional teams create groundbreaking solutions that address customer needs. As the Senior Director, you will define and execute the product strategy, drive innovation, and ensure the platform meets the highest standards of scalability, reliability, and developer experience. You will partner closely with engineering, UX, security, and business stakeholders to deliver a world-class API ecosystem that empowers developers and accelerates business growth.

Job responsibilities
Oversees the product roadmap, vision, development, execution, risk management, and business growth targets
Leads the entire product life cycle through planning, execution, and future development by continuously adapting, developing new products and methodologies, managing risks, and achieving business targets like cost, features, reusability, and reliability to support growth
Coaches and mentors, the product team on best practices, such as solution generation, market research, storyboarding, mind-mapping, prototyping methods, product adoption strategies, and product delivery, enabling them to effectively deliver on objectives
Owns product performance and is accountable for investing in enhancements to achieve business objectives
Monitors market trends, conducts competitive analysis, and identifies opportunities for product differentiation.
Develop and communicate a compelling vision and strategy for the API Management Platform, aligning with business objectives and developer needs.
Own and drive the product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements that deliver value to both internal and external developers. Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Partner with engineering, UX, security, compliance, and business teams to deliver seamless, secure, and scalable API solutions.
Champion the needs of developers by delivering intuitive onboarding, comprehensive documentation, robust developer tooling, and responsive support. Leverage AI technologies, such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), to optimize developer experience through intelligent search, self-service tooling, and enhanced support capabilities.
Ensure the platform meets mission-critical SLAs for performance, availability, and security, supporting millions of API calls daily.
Engage with internal business units and external partners to understand requirements, gather feedback, and drive adoption. Leverage analytics and usage data to inform product decisions, measure success, and continuously improve the platform.
Stay ahead of industry trends, incorporating emerging technologies (such as AI, RAG, and advanced developer tooling) to maintain a leading-edge platform
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications
Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics
Proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
8+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing large-scale, mission-critical platforms.
Proven track record of building and scaling API management platforms or developer ecosystems in complex environments.
Deep understanding of API technologies, developer platforms, authentication, security, and cloud infrastructure.
Experience supporting both internal and external developer communities, with a focus on developer experience and engagement.
Demonstrated experience leveraging AI technologies to optimize developer experience and platform capabilities.
Strong technical acumen; able to work closely with engineering teams and understand architectural trade-offs. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
